I feel that I may have been given a bad reference in one of the systems that providers use to check potential clients.  If so, I don't think that there is any justification.  What can I do?

Guess it depends upon your "Market Area"

In some parts of the country ladies rely much more heavily on
that type of system than others.

I'd ask a lady who knows and respects you to look into it then
find out what can be done once you found the source of your problems.

Any system like that can be frought with abuses, so there must be some remedial action you can take.

Short of that, shop elsewhere.  This hobby has been around a lot longer than the internet and will continue to flourish both with and without it.
