Re:Apprentice, Trump, a Contest?

I've been watching and quite frankly...let's face it gang...SEX sells!...Especially when the Donald is going to choose your fate.
So far...none of the "pretty" girls have heard, "your fired".
The lingerie bowl tomorrow is a perfect example of sex selling(although we have to look no further than the TER community), ...and a "pay per view "event, no less.
Anyone buying?

I agree that sex sells if you're selling lemonade, booze and trying to negotiate with a pathetic fat guy at a pawn shop.  But when you're closing a multi-million dollar deal for a skyscraper or negotitating a public offering, the smell of your tail will only take you so far.  First off, most high-powered dealmakers are already getting laid by hotter chicks than these.  Second, take a look at the women who are in the boardroom.  They're pretty damn ugly.

So far, all the "Protege" girls have shown is that they'd make pretty good hostesses at on of Trump's casinos.  Not saying that the guys are that impressive either.  But let's face it, the real players don't have time to waste on a silly reality show.

The girls win everytime because of the nature of the tasks that they are assigned:  It generally all comes down to selling.  And we all know that women are far superior to men in terms of selling.  They can sell better to everybody, male or female, because they are viewed as nonthreatening, guileless, and (for the men), sexy.  One study that I read in college mentioned the possibility that women can sell better because they evoke a sense of pity (I don't know how much I believe that one, I'm just reporting what I once read).  

Now, every good product manager and CEO will probably tell you that sales are the fertile ground from which management springs.  Still, if Trump had assigned them tasks like balancing a firm's ledger, finding a way to cut costs, or developing an innovative new product line, then it would have been a fair fight and anyone could have won.  But ultimately, even when creativitiy and quantitative thinkning are involved, the teams would *still* have to sell their ideas, and the women would have the upper hand because of this.  I don't think it's fair to say that the guys are "hopeless."  Well, maybe they are, in the sense that they have no hope of winning against the girls.  But neither does a paraplegic have any hope of winning in a foot race -- that doesn't mean it's his fault.
