Whilst searching the web I came across a website called the cityoflove with my pictures on purporting to be another escort. I am horrified, I have asked the site administrator and the girl to take them down but they both blame each other. This is blatant theft and deception. What can I do, Help please?!!

threaten a lawsuit.   My guess is the provider is the thief & not the site, but the fact the site is NOT cooperating is not a good sign.    In the future - you need to watermark your photos.

Provider picture theft is by no means rare.

I have found that if you do that , they will remove them. It is time consuming but worth the efforts.
Good luck!

I am new to posting and I put the wrong link in. This is the one I am posting about. A blatant theft of my photos.
Yes my photo's are naturally watermarked however when I list on other directories they are not.

thanks for the support.

That's why she hasn't commented on her question.

Or maybe she found the "stolen" pics...she forgot that she placed then on the credenza :D

yes you have every right to demand they remove your photos. I don't know if the girl stole them or the site themselves, but both have been known to happen. Many no name sites steal photos to make it look like they actually have members, so the best thing to do is email both the girl and the site.

Just send a DMCA violation notice to the webmaster of the site. You can find templates online, and just add in the appropriate information. Once they receive this, they tend to take you a lot more seriously. I've had to send them to backpage before because of girls stealing pics owned by me. Backpage responded in under 5 minutes of receiving the DMCA violation notice, within 10 minutes the offending images were removed.

Slap a gargantuan watermark on your pictures.  It's possible to use enormous watermarks and still not compromise your image quality.  They are very very hard to remove if done correctly, and most hackers would not go to such effort.  Of course, this is a suggestion before the problem started.  If you're the legal owner of the content then you may be able to pursue this matter in court.

Sure...the gal is running her faux ad here...and some fellas actually think this is a serious matter.

And then you come up with the "take the bitch to court" recommendation.

Are you going to represent her?  LOL

Guy use things like tineye to fine if anther person is using the image and stay away if so. She is right to be upset as this could cost her business. Money is always a serious matter.

The women here are selling there looks. having anther lady steal a ladies photos and misrepresent herself with those photos makes it so people wonder which is the thief. It costs the lady money. It is a big deal and may be worth litigation if it could be done without drawing attention of LE. Thing is many of the clowns here only can see the world in how an issue would affect them. I doubt CCPA would be affected at all by anther CPA stilling his photos so he can not relate. It is a lack of vision and caring thing. He thinks everything is a joke even if not. He forgets it is all fun and games for him, it is food on the table for the ladies and is very serous.

Thank you very much fantastic advice. I Googled DMCA violation and the template you referred to came up. Myself and several colleagues have sent both the site and the girl violation notices using the template.

So you bought this gals story..obviously!!  Great..you're my hero!

Online hooker pics are stolen EVERY day...and you should know that better than most.  Yet some London based gal has to announce this on the GD board...WHY?

And to make a completely asinine comment that professionals in the business world wouldn't "understand" shows your complete lack of knowledge of "high level" professionals.  You claim you have some business that makes a few bucks...have YOU ever had a CPA or an attorney?  Let alone chatted with them?  I doubt it given your myopic understanding of what WE do for a living.

Intellectual property is stolen all the time.  And quite often it goes unnoticed...let alone in litigation.  Do a tiny bit of research and sit down when you find out what the "filing fees" and the associated legal and accounting fees would be to initiate legal action.

The competent gals understand the risks (and a few on this thread have politely discussed how THEY deal with this) of posting unmarked (or even watermarked) pictures.  And I'm surprised that the OP didn't rant on the stolen website content.  Frankly, that's much more prevalent than a stolen pic of a gal.

And food on the table...seriously?  How long have you been here?  Gals stealing a pic rarely are in the same city as the gal whose pic they stole.  You might want to get your head out of your ass...and realize that these types of posts are faux ads....and trainwreck material.

Yes I do realize that it is common in and out of the hobby. And I do realize that it is costly to stop. The fact it is common and she proved makes it believable. Second, even if it is not in the city it cost her money. As part of my screening I run a few image checks. If it shows up on anything but anther ad for the lady any where I avoid her. I don't have time for a B&S risk when there is other options. I know I am not the only one that does so.

Second I do realize it is costly, but the threat works wonders or didn't you know that?

Third, She does have water marks of a sort on her photos. That advise is wasted as she already does so.

Forth sense when are vents good ads? Plus every post by a lady is an ad by that standard. Don't you get it, even if common it is still upsetting and not every lady has faced every issue in this hobby. Is it really that hard to believe someone could turn to the boards for help? I would hate to be as jaded as you seem to be. You sir are little more than an internet bully trying to ram your view on the hobby down everyone throat. So you get your sorry head out of your sorry ass.
