I have personally never been with a professed "porn star", although I have to say the idea has some (limited) appeal. Two things I like about the idea of having a porn star as a provider: 1. I can see what she's capable of, before I book her for an appointment. 2. I can see what she looks like, from all angles, in full motion, before I book her for an appointment.
Neither of those criteria in any way modifies my interest in her as a PARTNER of the civilian variety, whether for marriage or simply for dating. Presumably I would have seen her naked, in full motion, in PERSON, before deciding whether or not to get engaged, right? So, having the video is beside the point.
The idea that a woman is a porn star doesn't turn me on, any more than the idea that she is a model or a stewardess. If, however, I SEE her and find out that she LOOKS GREAT, then I'm turned on, and that's more likely if she's capable of getting the job of model, stewardess, or porn star. So, really, it's not that she's been on film; it's that she's hot enough that someone else wanted to put her on film.
The idea that a woman is a porn star does, to a slight extent, turn me off. I worry about her association with a cocaine-addicted community of multiple partnerships and intravenous drug users. Some porn stars will have all the problems associated with those vices. Those will be women I probably don't like, and probably don't want to be a partner with (ether paid or civilian). But other porn stars will have no problems, and will instead "have their shit together," and women like that are hard to find in any business, porn or clean or in between.
So, it's more an issue of the woman, than of the profession. But, if she's "typical," I'd be running the other way, because my definition (prejudiced? whether right or wrong, this is my definition) of a "typical porn star" includes drug-addiction and general stupidity. So, if she's an atypical porn star, she's got some proving to do before I'll give her a chance.

Zoe,
The fact that a porn star did it in front of the camera places her in a category that is not mainstream. She is unconventional.
Disapproved by mainstream society, it is an enormous turn-on. For me, add a few tattoos, which is something my wife would never do and would frown upon as blue collar, and I have instant hard-on. Porn-stars provide the fantasy of a sexual liberation that is often missing in a conventional life. My own personal experience has taught me that indeed they are human and no different then you and me, but the fantasy is a powerful high. WHich is why they can command such high prices...
