TER General Board

off the plane - into the waiting arms of INS police

A really good friend of mine went to the US recently (Miami). Yes, she is an escort. Anyway, she was met at the plane by (no, not a friend or associate) an immigration officer, who said ‘come with me’.

12 hours and several body searches, fingerprinting, etc (but no water or phone calls) later, she was ‘refused’ entry and placed on a plane going to her home country.  She is a European Union citizen and from a western Europe country.

By the way, they really wanted the name of her client!  She refused.

What was the ‘evidence’?  Her web site.  And it is not high on any search engine.  Just very obvious on certain message boards.  The INS officer had a print-out of the site with him at the gate.

What gives?  Are the authorities ‘mining’ the messages boards?  Looking thru log files?  Or, and heaven forbid, did a knowing person turn her in to the authorities?  Lets face facts…. they were waiting at the plane with her photo.

How did they know?

Either the authorities are monitoring message boards….
or
someone informed the authorities ….
or
if you have another option, please post it as a reply…

In the meantime, escorts who are not US citizens should give this episode careful review.  Maybe meet the client in Mexico or the Bahamas.

Yes, I have posted this on a couple of boards.  It is important for all to know.

I can’t believe this story. If the story is true, there must be some information missing. How would INS know this provider’s real name? How would they know what flight she was coming in on? Why would they spend so much time and money to send one Escort home? Why would it be an INS issue to begin with? There’s nothing illegal about visiting the U.S. What legal grounds could INS have for turning her around like that, unless they found something.

No doubt LE monitors the boards, for fun if for no other reason, but each agency has it’s own targets and I can’t believe that any of them would decide that targeting foreign escorts would be an efficient use of their resources.

Something is missing here. Perhaps Carnivore picked up an email that said she was coming to visit John Ashcroft and that she was the BOMB. INS was sent because their the least under Johnny’s control.

Well, the story is true.
How did the INS know?  Maybe someone who knows here real name told them?  And lots of escorts tell what they are doing during idle chat on message boards.
Why would the INS spend so much time?  They have the right to refuse entry to 'undesirable' aliens.  So they did.
Of course targeting escort may be on the list for some.  I do not make up the list.  I just observe....
The last item I will not comment on...

I find it hard to believe the INS monitor the comings and going of escorts.  Like some have suggested I believe if this did happen they were tipped off by someone who knew of her itinerary, most likely another provider.  Yes, it happens.  Could also be because the client she was coming to see is being monitored by a LE Agency.  Think about it.  I know it happened with some international financier (can't remember his name).  In that instance, Madame Alexis's ladies were getting info via "pillow talk" and passing it on to the feds.

Actually ricker, Prostitution is frowned on by the INS and if she is a known escort and they have proof such her web site listing and announcements concerning a pending visit to the USA she can be excluded. Before anyone jumps me by saying she is an escort and not a prostitute, yeah yeah we all know that but in the eyes if the law It's the same thing.  I can only speak of the visa application for entry to the united states for those traveling from Great Britain have to fill out, but it clearly prohibits a convicted or known prostitute from entering the USA.  Also if you are convicted of prostitution in the united states you will be deported.  From my understanding it is considered a crime of moral turpitude.

Funny how they don't ask if you have any affiliations to terrorists groups or ever murdered.  Yet they want to know if you have offered companionship for money.

I respect Bobsocks2 decision NOT to disclose all the details of this story. While it is interesting to us, it "IS" someone's Real Life (the escort he is refering to). Also, if INS and LE are reading these boards, we dont want to fuel an already raging inferno.

If this story "IS" true then President Bush, INS and the U.S. Government have finally lost their damn minds.

I'm all for "homeland security" and keeping "terrorist's" out of the country...but what good is served by keeping ONE escort out of the country? Yeah...I feel so much safer! (sarcasm)

The sad part is that that poor girl is going to end up as a "Statistic". The INS is going to go on tv and say "we deported X amount of non citizens...etc, etc, etc", as if they are actually "doing" something! What they wont tell us is that most of the people they caught are "harmless". What...like a REAL terrorist doesnt have the sense and the means to get GOOD Fake I.D. and Passports to get into the country? Or just SNEAK into the country via Mexico or Canada. (*&^%$#@!#) INS agents arent doing SH*T! Not only am I not impressed but I'm appalled that they (INS/LE/U.S. Government) think they can get it past it's citizens!

Escorts are an easy target. Local LE (in each State) wants their community to think they are "winning the war on crime". So they round up a bunch of escorts and call it successful crime fighting.

Ya know,...LE has it SO ROUGH...It must be hard to call up an escort, sit in an adjacent room eating donuts until she shows up, arrest her and give eachother high fives. Must be tough. (sarcasm)

Le doesnt want to go after Terrorists, Drug Dealers, Rapists, Burglars...they have GUNS! They might SHOOT at the police. LE might actually have to put their donuts down and do some work! What's an escort going to do, lob her makeup bag at him?(sarcasm)

The "problem" is INS and Local LE (in each State) are a bunch of weak a** ($#@!*&^%#@!^%&%$@) who dont want to go after crimminals who have GUNS and/or can defend themselves. I'm African American and yes I have been a victim of "racial profiling" (it's no fun believe me), so some groups/races are saying INS/LE/US Government are being unfair...so to be politically correct these (&^%$$#@!#$) dumb a**es  are checking everyone out from "Joe CEO" to "The Little Old Lady From Pasadena". GOD FORBID they look at the kind/race of people who are actually doing the terrorizing.

Escorts are sitting ducks. We have to advertise, so its not like LE has to do a long investigation or stake outs to "FIND" us. Crap they have our Phone Number off our website or Ad! They make an appointment and make an arrest...they never even have to draw their guns or break a sweat!

Escorts are an EASY TARGET! We work alone, most dont carry guns (or even mace) and we cooperate when arrested. The world is so much safer with those damn escorts off the streets (sarcasm).

INS/LE/U.S. Government should be ASHAMED of themselves If they think that arresting escorts is fighting crime.

Thank you for the support, Sable.

Yes, this is causing the person involved a lot of emotional pain.

Luckily she has very strong support at her home base...  No, I do not mean me.  I am just a friend.

There are all kinds of rules and laws now protecting women from sexual harassment. Working as vice LE is virtually the only way that men can legally harass women, particularly in the context of LE having sex with providers and then busting them (still can't believe this is being allowed - where's the ACLU when you need them).

I'm not sure I see anything too different between this form of abuse and the Taliban hitting women with sticks in Afghanistan. Also very reminiscent of the Salem witch trials, which by the way were run by middle-aged men against young women.

My guess is that someone informed authorities that she was traveling to the U.S. to meet a client, which is a felony.  Someone who knew when and where she was going.  Could have been a competitive provider-friend or someone else she told (back-stabbing in this biz is common), a boyfriend, or family member who was supposedly trying to "save" her.  They would know all about her, but perhaps not much about the client.  It would have been very easy for INS to just be waiting at the gate for her.  The info was probably all just handed to them. To me, it's easy to believe.

I think there are key missing pieces to this jigsaw puzzle.

As long as you are NOT a known terrorist, or have connection to a terrorist group you shoud be able to travel freely to the US.  Law abiding citizen from other countries who visit the US for business or pleasure are welcome.

The question that I have is how did the INS know why she was visiting the US. For all they know she was visiting a friend, or was hear on vacation ...

Something doesn't add up.

Virtually all countries will exclude "undesirables," including known criminals, or those who are entering the country for the purpose of committing a crime.

I think it's possible that there was a direct tipoff by somebody who was out to get her.  But also possible that they got her because they were watching something else.

- The client:  The payment (or even the emails, phone calls, etc.) may have come from somebody under surveillance.  Miami is a major center of drug trafficing, money laundering and various other criminal activities.  Somebody may have found out about her by watching her client's activities.  More to the point, LE may have been looking for her to "give up" the client in order to have an excuse for arresting him, searching his possessions, getting additional warrants, etc.

- Payment:  If the total amount paid was over $10K (As I imagine it might have been, for a high-profile provider coming for an extended appointment in the US), and was paid in advance, the treasury would have been notified.  They get thousands of these notifications every day, but something may have triggered them to look at this one.  Again, particularly if the client was somebody they were watching anyway.

- Airline ticket:  Presumably paid for by the client, either by sending her money, or by purchasing it outright himself.  Either way, there would have been some sort of a link.  Again, depending on what they were looking for, this could have been flagged.

My guess is that even a fairly high-profile provider would not, in most cases, hit their radar screen, unless she already had problems with US LE in the past.

Well, I disagree. I mean, I agree that everyone SHOULD have a right to visit as long as they don't present a security risk; but that's not the law. ANYONE who isn't a USA national, is subject to ANY form of scrutiny that INS / Customs believes is appropriate. The opportunity for people of all sorts to enter into American territory isn't guaranteed by anything, neither Constitution nor law nor policy.

This thread seems to have a bit of that idea a bit off. As though "anyone has a right to come here" were a fair generalization. It isn't. A more fair generalization would be, "anyone has a right to PETITION for the opportunity to come here." It's just that usually, with major European allies and such, the border agents don't make a stink about it. They all get a "free" visa, often not even marked on the passport, but they're required to leave after a set amount of time. Just like USA's citizens in Canada, for example. 6 months is the limit, you may or may not know, unless you make other arrangements -- work, student, etc. visas.

I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised efforts are being put out so strenuously for one provider. I think INS was "tipped" in such a way that they were "stuck" having to go out of their way for this one individual. Unless we see a consistent stream of refusals, I'm gonna say this is a fluke. In the current climate, efforts would be MUCH more likely to go elsewhere than to the high-end escort market.

Actually members of the EEC can enter the USA via the waver of visa program.  But you can spend no more than 90 days here. The "leave by date" is entered in to your passport.

Even the name would be unnecessary with a pic from the website and the flight number or city of origin and date of arrival.
Sounds like a bitchy wife thing or boyfriend at the other end, or jealous rival.
How many flights a day go into Miami International from whatever EU City it was? From Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Prague (EU?), Paris, wherever. Not many.
All the INS agent had to do was put down the donuts and meet the flight, looking for a hottie. They probably have offices overlooking the arriving passenger area, and used a scanner for pouty lips! Hell, they could do the ID with the cameras and never put down the Krispy Kreme! Passport control might have had a pic as well and pressed the bj-vixen alert button. That must have been the most exciting thing they did all year, a lot safer than dealing with camel f**kers carrying box cutters and shoe bombs.
What a waste of time and money.
US law allows the exclusion of aliens on many vague grounds, so that part would have been easy. At one time the US excluded all homosexual persons, and the US Supreme Court upheld that.
The interrogation about the client's ID suggests an anonymous tip, with all of the info handed to them on a silver platter via anonymous fax or e-mail. Some wives are bitches enough to turn in hubby, but that depends on the individual circumstances. Now she'll just hint she knows and torture the guy psychologically to the max for alimony leverage.
Many weird cases happen at Irish customs. They used to arrest women carrying diaphragms because contraceptives were illegal in Ireland. Both Irish and German LE have arrested women leaving the country to get abortions outside where it is legal.
This is what happens when an apathetic public lets the country be taken over by the religious and corporate elite. Where has that happened lately?

It would hardly be the first time that LE tried to get somebody to provide evidence of minor wrongdoing in order to get warrants or other information to help them with their "real" investigation.

Miami, of course is a center for money laundering, drug trading and other illegal stuff.  And a guy who could afford to fly in a provider from Europe certainly might fit into one of those categories.

If they were watching him, they would have known about her and may have determined that getting her to cooperate was worthwhile for some reason.

MisterG

hassled her to identify the guy.
They would have said who he was and that they had the goods on her and him. They would have threatened to hold her in the US for some major prosecution, instead of sending her back.
They could have held her as a mateial witness, on conspiracy to FHBO, fraud in obtaining a tourist visa when the tour was to the bedroom, but most assuredly for international Mann Act violations since the provider also can be prosecuted there.
There is more to this story than we have been told, but without the website we cannot go much further.
The INS truly had to do very little except to interrogate a hottie for many hours. Tough job.
Wonder who it was? I searched TER western European hotties for the past year, but could not come up with anything, especially after getting sidetracked by a dozen Prague vixens who do bbjtc. LOL

Unless she was arriving from a foreign country there is no reason for her to encounter the INS.

In any case, though I have met a few (and I do mean few) nice ones, the average ones I have encountered have all the customer service skills of a DMV worker crossed with an IRS auditor, and the intelligence of your average mouth breathing knuckle dragger.
