Yeah-  that's why I posted it.  It's not that every single one is a tip off.   But we can all look at this pretty long list and probably find something we might be able to do more smoothly to attract less attention...

For us in LA, and I think the rest of the country, there is one of those "Signs your hubby is cheating" lists of behaviours.

I suggest everybody here read it and learn to avoid some of these actions, or get more artful.

Now I am sure that it is really for guys who are in a real relationship outside of their SO deal, and hobbyists are less predictable, but nonetheless, its good to know how others have tipped their hands afore ye.  Knowledge is power and one less hobbyists life trashed is all to the good.

Note:  I realize that this topic is a fave for all our boards- but I really thought this might be topical for today as its a list you can read at home or at work w/o arousing suspicion- it's in Dear Abby for Chrissakes!  But anyone ready to flame me for any reason (TS Guys-got your ammo ready?) can do so here just for fun...

She makes alot of general statements that by themselves are not suspicious. That list will cause more harm than good. I can apply at least 3 of them to everyone I know.

True- but one can make sure that one is not doing too many of these things at once- thus arousing susp.

Or one can work on spin or a cohesive cover story...

Plausible deniability (sp?) is key...

I think seeing a change in your husband's taste in music as suspicous is a tad paranoid.  I wouldn't want to be married to someone like that!

Read the column at lunch...

I suppose you could plug any of those into a cheating scenario, but it looks more like affairs than hobby.

I had to laugh...Left in the morning smelling like Irish Spring, came home at nite smelling like Speed Stick.

Is that some kind of bi reference?

yes, I'm too lazy to go find it...

Thanks for the link...but really don't these guys WANT to get caught????  Jeez...seems pretty obvious to me to avoid any of these things on the list except for late hours on the computer...

Try this link. The other one posted changes every day.

By the way, while not all 29 items in the list are equally insightfull, many hit home pretty hard, at least for me. Particularly #s 1 (dress & groming), #16 (buying new underwear), #20 (wanting to try to love techniques), #24( Interested in different music), #25 (preoccupation with appearance), #28 (lots of emergencies at work).

I know my SO picked up on these...
