I've been pondering quotes to put in my email signatures. I'm fond of some of Emily Dickinson's stuff- and there were also a lot of great quotes in Frank Herbert's Dune. What are your favorites?

I have several quotes / sayings / tenants I live by:

1 - Sometimes you just have to say WTF.

2 - Keep passing those open windows (rather than jumping out of them!)

3 - You'll never see these people again.

4 - If you push anything hard enough it WILL fall over. (Fud's Law)

5 - (Testicles Deviant to Fud's Law) What goes up MUST come down.

A few years back - while still married to the ex-ms Superdude - we went to the wedding of my best friend's son.  And as he walked with his son to the alter for the ceremony I could not help but cry... the Ex asked why?  how could I tell her that what she saw and what I saw were so entirely different.... What she saw was an old man, crippled by manic depressive disorder, bent over from years of intense work, long hours and overcoming prejudice... yea, a balding old man...

What I saw - was a friend who had guided me throughtout my life... one who always saw in me the best... and helped me be better - just cause I knew him... I saw him (as I saw him when we first met) as a dynamic young man, with a beautiful wife and great kids... who would always invite me over to share his family when he knew I was down or depressed....  and incredibly intelligent individual who was so kind to all he knew... he took in those of us who others discarded and made us people of value and self worth...

and that is why I like this quote the best... thanks for sharing.
