This woman I started working with, named me because my hair was long down my back and curly and I had sun kissed skin tone because it was summer, she said I looked exotic so she named me Naomi. I stuck with it I love Naomi!

I've wondered that too.....I actually chose mine off of a whim....I diddnt think I would actually like it and that it would turn into a long term gig so I wasn't too concerned with the name....i did have some liking to it of course and it does fit me as I've hitchhiked across the country several times and ended up in my fair share of rainbow painted hippy school buses😂😂so I do feel a little wild gypsy spirit at heart.... "Van the Man" is a nickname I acquired in high school.  As for the other part, I was once a christian, but "deconverted" about 5 years ago, and am now an atheist.  So I added "the scary number" to my name.

sort of, anyways.

10+ years ago former provider Bev Fisher (now my mrs.) became my main squeeze and we visited a provider who then posted about our visit saying that she had hosted Mr. and Ms.. Fisher that weekend.  I was just about to join TER and needed a handle, so I turned to Bev and said:  "Looks like C just gave me my handle."  She agreed and it's been mrfisher ever since

and wondered about my name, so I went to our Chief and asked him.  He said that he named all the children born in the tribe.  I asked how he came up with the name, and he said well, when I first hear of a young brave being born and I see a deer running, I name him Running Deer.  If a young maiden, and I am near a babbling brook, I name her "Babbling Brook".

Actually it's a nickname that evolved from my last name...it was an inevitable evolution when I was the fat kid in the class pretty much my whole life...it used to really piss me off or upset me until I finally figured out that if I owned it it wouldn't be insulting, so I embraced it and own it completely...

One of the author's last name was Benjamin. When camming wasn't enough to satisfy my appetite, I began working with an agency. They liked my name, so we kept it. Then I went Indy and I decided to keep it too. :
