I'm starting to realize I may be a pickier client than most. I have seen one too many providers with high ratings and still been disappointed to think differently. The reasons are not always the same. Sometimes she doesn't look quite as good as her pictures. Maybe they are dated, maybe they are too touched up, or something else. Sometimes she isn't much of a kisser, and I like kissing. Sometimes it feels a little too transactional. Sometimes it seems she is overacting to the point where it's not believable. Whatever it is, it seems to be impacting me more than most, since these are often well reviewed women. Lately, it has me contemplating. Should I consider more expensive providers and just see less of them, or should I keep digging for the bargain ones that allow me to partake more often? I should add that I am not the type that is looking for attachment to one provider, because that would probably make it a hell of a lot easier. But I have found over time if I stick to the same provider, she starts expecting more of me and the mojo that was there at the start seems to fade.

If the provider has social media you get a better idea of her personality & hopefully she posts some selfies. OF is an option if a provider has it look for unedited content to see if it’s accurate. Read the providers website to look for chemistry & read the reviews to check for sexual compatibility. Look harder, and save up for a higher quality provider if that’s what your seeking.

I know this was true for me when I got started. We often going into a session with certain expectations about how the session in going to go, what the lady looks like and what her personality and behaviours will be. Nearly all the time there will be some disconnect between the fantasy expectations we had going in and the reality that we experience.

 
When I ran into that I initially started focusing on what was "wrong". I kept thinking about how reality was not living up to my fantasy expectations. Not sure why, but I started ignoring my pre-session expectations (within limits of course) and started looking for the things I was getting in the sessions, or about the lady, that I was enjoying.  What I found was that if there were enough things I was enjoying, the one or two things that I was hoping might be better no longer seemed to detract from the enjoyment I had -- or sometimes from the beauty of the woman I was experiencing at the time.

 
Just to be clear, this is not about making excuses for others and trying to concince myself it was a worthwhile session. It was about changing my perceptions and managing my expectations and emotions before starting and thereby open myself up to the posatives that I was overlooking before. It's a bit like being sure to look at the forest and not just a tree or two.

 
Everyone wants to find what they consider a quality experience, but I'm far from convienced that the price paid as actually a sure metric to use, given many comments and posts in these boards. Not saying don't try that to see if it helps you find greater enjoyment, or simply better messing of your expectations and the reality, but be prepared to walk away from some with the exact same view.  

 
Additionally, pay careful attention to reviews and what activities have been documented -- particularly to see if some of what you're looking for seems to be a bit YMMV. In some cases you can think about communicating what is important to you or just ask -- though that gets a bit problematic.

I do both and it works out well for me. See ladies from both groups otherwise you are limiting yourself. The other thought is are you doing enough and the right type of research before you commit to a date?

It's a simple question, what are you looking to get out of a session? Once you have some idea of your requirements, you can easily choose someone that fits. That's not really a matter of price, and, if you explore enough, you'll likely find the difference between 300 dollar pussy and 700 dollar pussy is exactly 400 dollars and no more.  

 
 
I will say however, it sounds like you'd be well served by a girlfriend. At least with her the transactional nature of male-female interaction is well hidden behind a mountain of social niceties. I do lots of research. I read reviews. I read ones that talk about how young an older provider looks, and this setiment is mentioned in numerous reviews, and I show up and think, no she looks old like she actually is. And I wonder, why did several reviews say she looks as young as ever? Or, is it me and what I expect?

 
I'm a decent looking guy. Not some Baywatch stud or anything. But I can pick up a decent looking woman my age.  So, I'm not looking to pay for what I can get for free. I'm more looking for the younger model type that I have little shot at getting, and to be frank at my age don't want to put in all the work to find the few that are interested in a guy my age.

 
But I'm not sure which reviews to trust. If she is in her 40s, and looks like she's in her 30s, I might find that she is actually hot and I have met these types. So, I'm not ready to discount them based on age alone. One of the best expereinces I had was with a provider in her early 40s. She was as hot as a 30 year old. Meanwhile, I see all those stunning providers in a price range above mine, and wonder if I should see less of them, but choose these more expensive ones. But even then, as was brought up, I still run the risk of disappointment if she isn't everything I expected.

First develop a solid stable of reasonably priced providers who you like to see regularly! In LA I think this is easiest to do with kgirls. Search LA, Asian, overall rating above 8.4, and look for providers with 10+ reviews. See some with 100+ reviews. After you see at least ten girls in this category you will probably have at least a handful of less expensive go to girls. Also read their last 10-20 reviews to get the feel for who reviews and ranks like you do. Be more careful of $500-800 girls and up.  I find these girls have to be 9+ to be comparable 8.5 kgirls. Also, check the reviewers to see how many reviews they have posted. If 2 reviews or less disregard. Also scrutinize photos more carefully to appreciate angles and partial photos that cover up a girl’s rough spots fat, wrinkles, age etc. sprinkle in some higher priced talent with your reasonably priced regulars! Isn’t variety the spice of life?!

My "intuition" has always been that everything would get better with repeated meetings.  You get to know what one another likes.  You're both more comfortable because the 'I'm having sex with a stranger' awkwardness is past.  But that has not been the case in my experience.  Maybe it's true, "Familiarity breeds contempt".

If you don't mind, are you on the younger side, just to put a number in say under 40, or on the older side? Only reason I ask there is if you are reading reviews from someone that is 60 or older then they may we'll see a 40+ year old and think she is both younger and prettier than a younger man might.

 
Since you mention doing your homework I assum you're already good at spotting the ovbious shill/fake reviews (e.g., only has one review and no posting presence -- and the review might be months old). When I was using reviews what I always tried to do was find some revewer who had seen someone I had already seen.  That gives me something of a baseline for deciding to what extent their review is good for making my choices. Hardly sure fire but moves the gauge a bit.

 
But you might just be stuck with taking the plunge and spending a bit of money to see if the next price tier provides more success. I'm not convienced. But I have seen some providers that were in my range (300 - 450) that moved up to 600 or 1000. I would never see them for that price. Others seemed very happy given reviews and recommendation.

I'll never see $1,000 lady over seeing two $500 ladies. I just can't see it being worth it.

I’m in my early 50s, but look at least 10 years younger and that sometimes reflects on the women who will date me. But that’s a good point. Without knowing much about the reviewer, their perspective, be it their age or something else, simply might be different based on what they are working with and/or looking for.

 
Interesting, how you mentioned women you saw before their prices went up. I think that’s partially driving me. Women I have seen that have raised their prices were all top notch. Ones who were more average or less, have not raised their prices. This small sample sized fact makes me wonder specifically about women I was interested in who raised their prices before I got around to booking them.

I want what many people want, what I can’t have. But in the world of escorts, sometimes I actually can for a price. This is something a girlfriend doesn’t fetch me. I can get a girlfriend easy. Honestly, I have always said this as well. But the best I ever saw is a provider who is at 1k now. She wasn’t when I saw her. But she was near perfect. If I think about two of the average at best providers I have been with, if I knew what I was getting before and had to choose one session with one of the best vs. two sessions with average at best, I would choose one session every time. Problem is this is not something I can know before hand.

If you do your homework and develop a reliable peer group of mongers to share intel with who like the same kinds of girls that you do, you can find pretty girls with high quality pussy at $500 and less.  I learned this I was new in P4P that there is nothing a $1000/hr girl can do that a $500/hr can't also do, and the only difference often comes down to providers who charge a premium for their OWN perception of their physical appearance, which is not always the same perception YOU will have.  Most guys who have seen 100 providers will agree on what constitutes good service, but opinions will vary widely on their perceptions of who is the most beautiful.  

 
Some monger friends I have where money is no object get MORE depressed when they get a dud at $1000 than they do at $500.  The lesson in this biz is that price does not always correspond with quality and that's one of the biggest risks in seeing high-priced divas.  Then when you realize you could have seen TWO quality ladies for the price of the One girl you chose at a high, you feel like a total fool.  It was years ago, but I have been there, and it sucks.

There are so many variables. Sometimes the chemistry just isn't there, sometimes you catch her on a bad day. I have a feeling that if I saw only $1,000 ladies it would be pretty much the same thing. The trend seems clear...the higher the price the better the Body type. Stated body types (slim, toned, athletic, etc) are definitely inflated in the "value range" (roughly 400 - 600 in the New England area). However reviews of body type are also inflated by the reviewers for various reasons. Once you're in the 800 - 1000+, you will generally find true spinners with true GFE attitudes.  

So you have to adjust expectations accordingly (unless you're seeing K girls).

When the shine loses its luster or when I become jade, I take a break.  Date a civiian.  Go on a trip with your buddies with this money.  Come back in a month or two or threee. Also, I scratch my head when I see the rates of some of these providers, seems completely random to me.  The higher priced ones seem more sugar daddyish to me, but I never dipped my toe into that pool.

I wish this worked for me. I have tried with a few. If I made it to a third date, it was never as great as date 1 or 2, and therefore I stopped and searched again. There’s something about the big sell of a new provider that can never be topped by a repeat one.

True, some dates loose their  spark with repetition, but some definitely get better with repetition.

I'd add a couple of things:

1. If it's reviews that might be the problem, I'd go back and look for reviews that echoed your experience, if any. Then check out those reviewers reviews - perhaps their assessment is close to yours and you can rely on them. With that said, if volume of reviews of these guys or girls you're seeing is low, that might not be feasible.

2. Going up in price isn't necessarily going to provide a better experience for you imo. What you get imo is a higher floor of expectations and also better investment in marketing, better investment in bodywork, etc etc. by the seller. But a provider a certain age will still be a certain age. Once you get into very high price range you either get popular online performers or "prize date" companionship type arrangements. Not necessarily what you're looking for.

 
Which brings me to last point that might be most important one.

It might be just a grass is greener thing. You said you never got to the third date. So perhaps you just value new sex partners more, and quantity is the way to go as you get to see more new faces for your bankroll.

Honestly, if you can afford, you can try the higher priced talent. I'm just not sure if it alleviate the issues you're having, but it's worth a try, right? It won't hurt you to try so I don't see much of a downside. If you get to third date with a high budget talent and still have the fire, perhaps it's the way to go.

Sex workers tend to have a higher opinion of themselves when it comes to looks.  That shows up in how they market themselves,  how they set their hourly rate, and sometimes how they act. I think of it like a combo of inflation and supply and demand.  A sexworker who is rated an 8 or 9 on a monger scale may really be a 5 or 6 irl compared to a hot civie woman.  

Regardning the cases where some increased their prices more than the observed "inflation" price increases we've seen. It's not so much that they were average or less but really just raised prices more than I personally thought represented the value they were providing. Others clearly differred on that view and that's fine by me. I would add I know one that had raised her price a bit -- top end of what I find I'm comfortable paying -- but I certainly think she could easily charge more. I would still want to see her at the hgher price (not sure 1000 or more would be true). At that point I would be asking myself the same questions about reduced frequency versus more often but not her level of quality.
