Ads, beauty parlor, clothes, transportation, internet and computer expenses, nails, cell phone, screeners, lost dates, NCNS, shorted and/or ripped offs, legal expenses, accountant, etc.

And about four hours of uncompensated time spent contacting and responding to calls and emails for each compensated hour.

I'm sure I've left a lot out.

What's true is some make a handsome living, most do not. Why? Because lots of women jump into to make quick money and it only masks their walking around problems that won't go away no matter how much they make. There's no such thing as a salary. I make money even when I am sick, they do not. I don't have to take off a week because I am visited by an alien that makes me wear tampons. The number you're looking is relative to the situation. Most of us know providers that get 5 per and seem to be busy all the time. They are the minority.

According to postings by providers on this board, good providers make $500k-$700k/year. I've even seen some postings by providers bragging about their "financial statements"  so I can only assume those providers to be extremely wealthy.

At those levels of income, assuming even the most fundamental of money-management skills and assuming the providers posting that data were being honest; we can reasonably assume that most good providers who have been in business for 3+ years are millionaires, and many are multimillionaires.

Because of their extreme wealth, they don't really have to work, and they could certainly afford to give it away for free if they desired. Providing is just an idle pastime for satisfying their sexual needs and self-esteem. If they were boycotted tomorrow, they could all live comfortably high lifestyles for the rest of their lives without need for a job, income from an S.O. or anything. If they were feeling frisky they could lay an astonished pool boy.

Of course, this impression stands in stark contrast to the postings by providers stating their clients are ugly, old, stinky, have bad hygiene, leave skid marks, etc. Obviously, multimillionaire ladies of leisure would have no need to see such clients and could limit themselves to Fabio look-alikes.

Naturally, I would strongly suspect that the IRS would have a very different impression of their income; because I have also seen providers post that they qualify for free medical clinics due to low income.

If you have paid close attention to the preceeding paragraphs; you will notice a LOT of ASSumptions. ASSuming, mainly, that women engaged in an illegal occupation and who have a motivation to extoll the value of their services are unerringly honest in their postings on anonymous message boards.

So the bottom line is that you should believe absolutely nothing posted in answer to this question. It will not be answered honestly.

I turn down 90% of the mongers who are just dying to fuck me. It's true, just follow my blogs. I have 3 careers and make soooooo much money and I just live in a shithole and beg for presents on Twitter because I think it's cute. Oh, and CL dropping their cheap ass ad section doesn't bother me, I only posted 1/3 price ads on there so I could keep my fingers on the pulse of the common man. I drive a piece of shit on it's last legs because they don't make them like that anymore. It's not a shitbox I've driven into the ground, it's a classic and you're an asshole for even thinking you know. You don't know. I'm young and skinny, and if you don't review me that way i'll hunt you down and eat your liver. Anybody got an apple?

You gonna eat that donut?

BTW:  Both your analogy and the others I have read are way off base.  Many of us have real jobs and only provide to supplement our income.  I am by no means rich.  And I do not make 5-7k a week.  Not even close.

trust me, right now everyone is talking about how slow it is.  It might be days in between calls or in some cases I have heard WEEKS between calls.  So for you to ASSume that providers make 300-500grand a year is WAY off.  I mean really, I hope you are joking.

Real #'s, are closer to a white collar job just a whole lot less hours.  I will not mention my #'s nor anyone elses so don't ask.

Lets assume an average work schedule of three days per week, on average, and three appointments per day averaging 90 minutes each with an hourly rate of 300.

For the week thats 3 x 3 x 1.5 x 300 = $4050/week less expenses

For expenses lets assume (Yes, I cook the numbers to make my life easy):
 Hotel at $135 per night
Eating out (cum doesn't make a meal) at $45 per day average (she splurges the last night)
Misc expenses such as lube, condoms, etc. at $20 per day
Thats 3 x (135 + 45 + 20) = $600 /week

At $4050 - $600 you get $3450 per week. Lets assume that she only works 9 months out of the year, thats:
(9/12) x 52 x 3450 = $135k per year (rounded)

Now before we get too excited...

There's clothing/outfits... advertising (web presence)... subscriptions to check references... Lets call that $5k per year, which leaves $130k.

Oops, medical and dental and retirement benefits...  Easily $15k for medical & dental on your own... Retirement (401k is about $16k max per year)... Call it $30k total for benefits. Rainy day funds or LT/ST disability would take another chunk from that.

Leaves about $100k per year for an average provider. Agency ladies probably loose another $100 per session which is about $53k per year based on the above.

All these numbers are my assumptions based on my hobby habits and what I would guess would be a median/average situation for a provider.

Decent money but I doubt that few are retiring for life after a few years of work. Higher end providers will have more expenses... charge more per hour and maybe see fewer clients. The truly high end ladies can probably command some serious $$$$$, but I hear Charlie Sheen is taking it easy these days ;-)

Seems logical but those 3s obviously only applies to full timers, not those who do this for supplimental income.

A few other factors might lower it a bit as well:

Out of those 9 mos working, assume a few days each month are forced off days

For many there will be off time because of family (young kids, etc) needs.

If we assume the # of sessions per day is the provider's comfort level of work then it's often hard to make up a slow day or a NC/NS, often no way to "catch up" so 3 apt/day goal may be less than that actualized.

Expences:  higher than normal hair, cosmetics.  Also a gym membership for many so they can keep looking nice for us.  And sitter cost.  Travel if she does so (local or cross country).

I take 2 appt's per week while at home.... So I make $500 a week, all during school.... Unless I get a tip.. Then maybe $550 a week.... Sometimes it is only one appt. a week.... So therefore, I make what I would make working 40hrs a week at McDonalds, on average per month..... I am just able to make it through school easier not working my tail off 40hrs a week, rather enjoying myself for two.....

I suppose if a lady was in a good area, big city, and worked full-time she could make decent money... But no most of us aren't rich.... Just my opinion.....
