just give her a brief description of yourself, and mention that you hope the beard won't be an issue. Nothing wrong with that.

Friday I have my first date in a long time. I've recently started growing a goatee which I keep very trim (not grown out). It's has that 11 O'Clock, the next day shadow look to it. It looks good but I'm suddenly second guessing myself on how it feels. A little porcupine-like. Just wondering from hobbists to providers, what do most ladies prefer... clean shaven or full grown. Does it make a difference. I could easily shave this down to a soul patch (just remove the hair from my upper lip) but in my profession that look may seem a little too 'trendy'.

Opinions?

I personally have a facial hair fetish. I even love when they're just bristly from not having had shaved for a day or two.

It feels lovely on the skin and with DATY can feel especially nice. Especially grabbing his face afterward and licking him clean :)

Some women have very sensitive skin, and facial hair will cause them to rash, even from just kissing.   And for DATY it can be painful if you aren't careful.

I have always liked the soul patch, but you have to have a face that suites it, so if it looks good, don't worry about being "too trendy". Just do what is comfortable for you, forget what other people might think in that regard.

Hmmm... is it a little above and beyond to email the provider and ask their preference. Obviously I'm not going to shave it when I arrive, and it will grow back pretty quickly. I just don't want partially grown facial hair to put a damper on fun for both parties.

Agreed. It's hardly above and beyond to ask a lady if she's comfortable with facial hair when planning a date.

I actually like facial hair. Ofcourse just remember to be gentle when your facial hair is in contact with her sexy, soft skin. Have fun baby!

for my entire adult life, or at least as adult as I'm likely to ever get. I've had it all different lengths at different times. Now, I keep it trimmed, and just long enough so that I can condition it. If it's too short, conditioning it really doesn't do much good. It's still sort of porcupine-like. I have had a couple of ladies comment on how nice and soft it is, but soft or not, you still have to be aware, and be gentle.

and if it's razor stubble, I'm have rashes from that and they are pretty painful.  But beards, mustaches, goatees, and such are not stubbly, coarse and rough.  They are usually soft and kind of fun as the other ladies have mentioned.

So as long as it's not rough or scratchy, and it's clean; it's all good.

Sir,

If you are planning on DATY, please do yourself and the lady a HUGE favor....shave it all off.

Clits are like small penis heads......they are very sensitive and the "11 o'clock shadow" will feel like you are rubbing sand paper on her clit. It will become unbearable if she has an orgasm. It will feel like you are cutting her clit if you pull her hood back.

Sorry to be so graphic but it is extremely painful and an issue many ladies have and we pay for it dearly for days.
