My experience: Spend enough time with a lady, don't ask such questions and more often than not they eventually volunteer the info. It is pretty hard to spend a few extended dates with someone and not start to use real names.
Really? Why do guys ask a lady her real name after a session?
I thought the whole reason to have a stage name was to have a different persona. To have a guy ask me my real name, takes me out of that persona I created and back into the woman behind the persona. Bad manners and all!
It takes me out of the fantasy.
So, I ask, why do guys ask for a lady’s “real/ civilian” name?

We all want to be a special snowflake *sigh*

Only if he really couldn't. I'll bet if we all try we could care that much less about this topic.
Maybe he cares, and could care less. If you think you understood what he meant then we all did.
I COULD give a rats ass.
Go piss up a rope YodaYadaCoulda!
I guess you could give if to YodaYada, but what would he do with it while he was busy pissing up a rope. Which begs the question, just how the fuck do you "piss up a rope"?
I follow this simple rule. Don't ask for mine and I will not ask for yours. Particularly on a first meet it is not somewhere you want to go.
Same goes for any screening info do not ask for anything you are not comfortable giving yourself.!
Guess I am not an average gent.
I'm just kidding, but that's my guess. I've never asked, and I never would, but I have been told by one lady, after many returns. And, it does give one the feeling that she likes and trusts you as one of her regulars. I never thought she wouldn't do the same for her other regulars.
they just picked up in a bar and are about to fuck but they want to know the real name of someone they paid $ to?
weird.
You don't ask a provider her real name and more than you tug on superman's cape, or spit into the wind.
You don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger and you don't mess around with Jim..
I've never asked but have had a few ladies just come out and tell me. I don't know why, maybe I look harmless.
Good question, actually. I've never asked and only learned the name of providers after multiple liaisons. So many guys want more than they pay for in the hour and it goes without saying that it's a bit of bad form to say the least. As to your, "I'm in character" wtf is that about, you said the session is over? Encourage him to shower and leave or just leave and you can bask in the afterglow until your day is done. As for why they want to know, perhaps he thinks he fucked you well enough to earn it? I dunno, you and I agree, it's got to be a buzz kill.
I had one lady tell me her real name and now I'm never sure what to call her.
I have seen some providers many times, and have been offered the name without asking. Some ladies will feel comfortable enough with you when you are a regular to say call me _____.
I still end up calling them by their stage name anyway, just because I'm used to it.
What your basically saying is that you can't act out your part if you share your name. You seem more hung up on it than the guys. Kinda lame, don't you think? And bad manners too!
If your any good at this at all, is shouldn't matter what the hell your name is, real or stage.
So what's in a name?
You should have a stock lie prepared for every personal question guys typically ask. That way you can be consistent if they compare notes.
Are you saying I should tell all the providers who ask me what I do for a living,I am a rocket scientist, and not just the gullible?
some guys are with getting your real name. I'd say 60 to 75% of my clients ask on the very first session and continue every single session to see if that's the real name or not. I've even had clients ask other providers I know to tell them my real name behind my back.
Of course, I have second, third, fourth layer tiers...but really, it's rude of them to think that they should get that information, and the fact that so many of them are obsessed with it is creepy. It feels like a power trip or an ego trip to me. Or it feels like they want to know so they can hold it over a provider's head and blackmail or manipulate them. If it persists, I stop seeing them. It's a red flag. IT's none of their business. But you guys would be surprised how many clients think that they have a right to that information, or just because a provider made them feel special in the session, suddenly they get to know everything about your personal life.
A word to the smart hobbyist.... just be happy with the session and stop obsessing with what happens outside of it, and it can go on and on without being ruined.
Just my thoughts.
You said;
"I'd say 60 to 75% of my clients ask on the very first session and continue every single session to see if that's the real name or not. I've even had clients ask other providers I know to tell them my real name behind my back."
I'm taken a back by those stats and just only hope it IS a small exaggeration. But, hey you are the one getting those requests or pestering inquiries.
This thread is 100% positive from all responders stating it is not cool, should never be anyone's business, etc. etc.. So if 60 to 75% would be true 25% of the responders here are lying here if your stats are correct.
All the stats aside, I think guys that do this do it for ego reasons, so that they look cool to their peers. Not that they want to "hold it over a provider's head and blackmail or manipulate them.". Again, I just think it is an ego trip.
I could be wrong of course. No surprise there. lol
I have never asked a provider her real name ... never even thought about it and I would have absolutely no reason to want to know.I have never asked a stripper her real name either , although sometimes they tell me anyway, but I always let it go in one ear and out the other.
If I truly wanted to find out someones real name, I am surely not so dim, I would need her to tell me.
ok its no big deal.. If they use that name in amy other manner to harm me.Than yes it is a big deal..
I highly doubt knowing my first name is going to be the end of the world..
seriously, I have shared MORE things with a hobbyist .. : 0 (we are providers afterall)
being a provider you have opened up more than a first name..: )- wink/smile
hopefully , you know what I am alluding to... : )
if not read a ladies "fantasy reviews" ha!
sincerely

but usually not until on a second date. If they want me to know, they will tell me. The only advantage is on subsequent dates, it's sometimes easier to call them by their real name. I do, however, someimes forget and call them by both names in the same session. They get a laugh out of that. I blame it on old age...
