I've called a couple of providers in my travels and I have yet had one actually show up. What do I/should I say when new in town?

1st of all,sorry for your bad luck!...2nd,have you checked reviews before calling,to see if the provider is credible?... they must not be,or they would of shown up!

Do you discuss money or sexual acts?  Those are both verbotten.

Have you read the TER Newbies Manual, found at the top of the page? If not, I would suggest it.

Still, keep on pluggin' away at it.  You'll find someone soon enough.

Ask for an appointment?????

Sometimes you will have that happen no matter what you do.  But make sure you have some reviews on TER, and ask one of your regulars to put you on the white list.  Then when you call, tell them you would like to schedule an hour with them at whatever time. Give them your TER handle, any information they require, and your phone # (prepaid cells are nice).  Make sure the person you are trying to see has good reviews, and NEVER discuss the particulars.  The reviews will let you know those.

"in my travels". Are you waiting until you get into town before you call. If you call ahead of time, then the lady will have more time to verify who you are. Even a week or two in advance is usually okay with most ladies.

travel to the Newbie Board where no question is silly and no answere to harsh. Everyone there is looking for help or generously giving answers to your questions.

Go ahead and do a search to see what you find as I know there plenty of info there.

I know you will have many answers here from all the wonderful very helpful people as well.

Most ladies don't visit with out of town gentlemen or newly transplanted folks without references. Did you supply any?

If you start out saying I am a member of so and so, thats a big ice breaker, at least for me it works wonders! Even for last minute calls.
