As of 8 pm Arizona time P411 is work fine for me. Getting alerts, notifications and can log in see messages and profiles fine. Who knows tomorrow, but works for now.

I'd guess being hosted offshore only provides a minimal amount of protection if the actual business is in and can be traced to the USA.

They don't want the liability at all it seems like. The easier solution for them is taking their money and running as opposed to dealing with whatever problems this obnoxious bill can cause. Yes they are based outside the U.S. but the issue is they are catering to providers here they don't want the problems.

Also, the owners of the sites can still be indicted by the US, and these people probably have reason to want to be able to travel to the US without being tossed into jail.

not specifically where you are hosted/based. So even if you are offshore - you are breaking the law. Correct me if I'm wrong, there are so many aspects to it and with the panic can get confusing.

Yeah the providers there weren't very female friendly and often downright hostile and cunty. I wound up mostly sharing intel with fellow mongers and not pursuing any providers there. Being a mostly NorCal site it really wasn't set up for us in SoCal anyway, so for me it's no big loss.

... it was pretty good for me during my San Francisco and super recent North Bay travels.  
It literally shut down like my last day over there :(. I was literally yelling NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO when I went to bump my ad/listing around Monday evening.  Nightshift.co (it's .co not .com) will be missed by me anyways.

Don't know what happened but I tried to make a new post yesterday about an answer I got from NS, but I don't see it, so maybe this one will work. I emailed them as to what happened and this is the reply: "The shut down is just temporary while we change a few items on the site." So maybe all is not lost after all. It made me feel better about the situation! =)

Been telling all to just create another website such as a freelance photographer, freelance artist/writer of some kind and notify clients, post it everywhere you can now, pay for the ads now, mention for them to keep your "new career website" and sign up for photography shoots in your city!   That's what can work for a while I'm sure, unless they catch on to those.   I see girls on twitter posting "event planner" catering, personal trainer, motivational speaker, Reiki healer! etc.

P411 is still going but it's kind of hard to get signed up sometimes. As far as twitter, some people such as myself don't twitter so that doesn't really work.  I'm just hoping NS does like they say and come back, even though there may be a few different rules to follow!
