She may still have a website up but she's not posting on the internet. Some may have all pictures and info down.
It's difficult for us. We have families, and friends too. So, it's not a good thing to post pictures that you have saved on your pc or ask about where we are. If a girl wants to be brought up on a board, she will advertise or post.
A post in another area of TER got me thinking. What is everyones definition of UTR? Is it a provider who only sees a new client from word of mouth type advertising? Is it a provider that doesn't want anyone to post things about her, but has a website for advertising? Or is it a provider who has a good comfortable client base and doesn't see new clients nor does she advertise at all?
I am just really curious as to what people think when they say "UTR".

Exactly! I try to stay pretty UTR myself. I haven't posted to any boards without this alias in quite awhile. Just the other day, though, I saw where a client had made a post about me on a discussion board. While I do appreciate the kind words he said, it would have been my preference for him to NOT have posted anything about me. If I wanted to advertise, I would have made a post myself. Add to that the fact that this was a board that I would rather not be associated with.
I'm not trying to be mean. I'm sure he had nothing but good intentions by making a post about me. However, if a provider you know of looks like she tries to stay pretty low-key, please keep your comments about her private- having a VIP membership here so you can utilize the message feature is a great idea. If you really feel the need to post, ask her first to make sure she's cool with it. Not all of us are.
I see a lot of posts including pictures. It reads, "I really liked Susy Q, does anyone know what happened to her?". Please understand that it's at the very least, unwanted attention. You may be putting her at some risk, or exposing her past (if she has retired). I know that most men would never want to do that. But most likely not aware of the problem.
Good point, a lot of things should be kept to email and pm.
For me, being UTR is just a matter of staying low-key through whatever means one chooses to do so. For me personally, it's advertising mostly through word-of-mouth, with the occasional review popping up to give business a boost.
Staying UTR is also the reason I use an alias when I post.
in each case, they were formerly active but decided for various reasons to take down their sites and asked to be delisted; however, they continue to see previous clients.
I also know one provider who is semi-UTR, that is to say, she has taken down her ads, but continues to have a website and still has reviews up on this site.
I suppose there are several degrees of UTR if you want to get technical about it.
I see a girl in South Jersey who has a website but doesn't want reviews on TER or any place else. She considers herself as "sorta UTR". She is currently "very UTR" - No new clients but if an old regular that she really likes calls she will see him.
As long as they have a website I don't think you could say a lady is completely UTR. There are some ladies who are strictly word-of-mouth and their only internet presence is email. I would consider them to be UTR
