Last year we had Nikki Avalon do an interview for playboy, but thats the only positive involvement Ive heard of. A few years ago we had a write up on a major agency in new york magazine, but that wasnt a very positive one at all. Does anyone else remember any other examples? Im curious about your thoughts on this as well:-)

to be in this hobby, so I would say that nobody is ready for us. :-)

Its easy to bring this up on the jerry springer level, but any further than that would have to take real consideration. Thanks for your input!

It makes viewers feel better about their own lives if they only see the negative stories.

Get ready for more starting tonight on the Sundance channel. A new documentary called "Pleasure For Sale". It focuses on how miserable the women working at the Chicken Ranch in Nevada are, and what assholes some of the clients are. From what I read in the paper, it will have many stories of rape and other abusive behavior from their childhood being divulged by the women that currently work there.

but I dont know if I agree with you fully. Do you mean to say that if sally gfe gets all negative reviews, people are still going to want to see her? The reviews would definately get read thats for sure, but I doubt she would be in business any longer.

Thanks for the chicken ranch show...ill have to check it out:-)

There were downloadable shows (if your isp is London friendly), I think jazz might know a bit more about it.

Cool! Certain things are legal in london as well, so Im not sure how much that has to do with anything.

of getting some good mainstream coverage:

1. Come out with a self-help book of tips on sexuality. The selling point would be links to real research that is also confirmed by 'professional courtesans' and their dates who share detailed anecdotes.

2. Since money/performance talks, maybe start up a Hedge Fund focused on companies that directly or indirectly touch upon areas the 'hobby' does. Get a good money manager to beat the S&P 500 a few years running and CNBC and Fox Business News will come knocking.

I would think magazines like Maxim would want to do a 'Nikki Avalon' type story. I think the trick (no pun intended) though is the lady would have had to have been very truthful in her IRS reporting. Anyone deciding to go higher profile is going to get a serious look by government types.

Yes, all those politicians that can't wait until the  senate or house session is over so they can run to their favorite provider... HOw about those media types??  think they have ever seen any providers??? they have alot of time on their hands and plenty of $$$ to spend..  you know they have !!!!Oh my , how hypocritcal..

The Tyra Banks show has contacted me and (I'm assuming many others) to come on thier show....I can't see any good coming of this as these type of shows aren't interested in showing a fair and accurate story...only for ratings and what sells.

I can't imagine Trya Banks interviewing anyone in a manner that would compare to a professional interviewer (ie.Barbara Walters, Larry King etc).

Tyra Banks has actually done interviews with providers on her show at least once, and no, it did not cast a positive light on the hobby...
