Wny should you be slammed for posting something on a serious matter? Halloween is getting more and more dangerous every year because people find news ways to be devious and destructive. Personally, I think anyone that would intentionally harm a small animal would do the same thing to a child.

Pets are a serious concern at Halloween, especially black cats (which I have had two), as pet shelters will not adopt them out around this time of year.

Take care of your 4-legged, furry friends all the time but be exceptionally aware of their whereabouts around Halloween.

I hate animal abusers, and anyone who laughs at animals being hurt.  Pets are like children.  They can't eat, bathe, or go to the potty without our help.  Why hurt something that lives to please you, and protect you?

It's important to teach kids the importance of all life, not just human.  My GF's son used to carry my cat around in a headlock, and I had to sit and teach him that it may not be human, but it's a life, and life is a precious blessing.

If you punish your pet with abuse (hitting, rubbing their noses in messes, etc) in front of children, they think it's ok to hit and kick them too.

This is the one and only communication we in the hobby have

to share ideas and experiences.

Not just pertaining to sex but everything and anything in our everyday life that is pertinent to those members.

I am happy to see posts about topics that make us more human rather than some over sexed, addicted, money hungry what ever that the general population pictures us to be.

This is an open forum and one click and you can move on to what interests you while others might want to read that post.

Thanks apropo for your post about protecting our animals...some may never have thought about it until now. I know I wouldn't have.

I am getting so tired of people saying that anything not related to the hobby can't be posted here.  It is idiots who post this shit that have caused it from being such an amazing board back in 04-05 with many established providers and hobbyists posting about all manner of threads to people just not wanting to deal with stupid shit like this.  You all are trolls.  There is NOTHING that says all subjects have to be about the hobby.  FUCK OFF!

This subject is COMPLETELY appropriate, because my ATF lost her black cat back around Halloween 2004 in exactly this scenario.  I loved that sweet cat, and people SHOULD be careful at Halloween, because there are a lot of sick people out there who abuse animals...and who censor General Discussion Board threads!

I hope no one slams you for this. Its very good advice and to be quite honest I consider my pets 4 dogs and 2 cats to be members of my family. If anyone ever hurt them I would shove a shotgun up his or her ass and pull the trigger. Then I would dispose of their body somewhere in the hills where I live. They would never be found with all the bear, bobcats and foxes around here.
