TER General Board

My needs are similar as someone noted above - Just enough info to believe this is a legit provider, maybe some sense of roughly where in town she provides services, is she active at this time or taking time off, is she FS or FBSM (within those two major divisions I’m perfectly happy to skip the Menu and do YMMV - that can be half the fun!), and prices. Much of that I can usually suss out from her ads (and if she doesn’t have ads that’s a red flag) and her socials. TER does provide some degree of a crowdsourced legitimacy check but that’s becoming less useful as folks learn to game the system. Beyond that the poorly edited Penthouse Letters (oops - did I just admit my age?) part of TER offers little value (and TER’s insistence that I include that is much of why I don’t typically review). These discussion boards were a huge help as I learned to navigate this world (thanks to all of you for your contributions!), but even that has slowed down versus what it used to be. It’s not a huge burden for me to stay VIP, but still I’m considering leaving it behind come next renewal. Fun and frolics will still occur.

Welcome back to all the returning providers! 👋

I’m a VIP member who loves looking at the talent here on TER. I have noticed many lovely  providers who are returning after a year, two, ten years +. What caught my attention is that these are all top rated talent high 9’s, but no new reviews. I find it hard to get reviews myself.

Just curious 🤨 is it because no one has taken the plunge, or people don’t care 🤷🏽‍♀️ to write reviews anymore. I have been told it’s work & trouble writing reviews because TER has questioned many of mine that were written by actual people I knew. They stopped trying because it’s to hard. Unless, you just need to know the lingo to be successful.

Idk lmk your thoughts. 💭 I have myself delisted from TER & returned after taking years off. TER has always supported my choice to be delisted & return. I do appreciate TER.  Thank you! 😊

That has happened with both the guys, and the women, here on TER. Those reasons have been discussed many times. Covid, Sesta-Fosta, Twitter/X, etc. Are the women you are referring to newly back to TER? If so that can explain it as maybe they haven't been back long enough to garner a new review maybe?
.
As to the difficulty of writing and having TER post a review, I don't see any changes at all over the years. Rarely ever does a review of mine get disallowed. That has happened once, I think, in all the years here, for me at least.
.
The other, more obvious response to your question, is that there has been a groundswell against "review culture" in the last 5+ years from many of the women, stemming from the things I mentioned above, among other possible causes. That has caused many men, who may have otherwise written a review, to not do so any longer.

Just like there are companions who have mixed feelings or don't prefer reviews, there are clients who do not care at all about them. Over the last few years, some of the people who found me via Tryst very much seem like they are not interested in TER or other similar review forums.

I also think there are clients who might skim reviews but will never write any themselves. The style of reviews also matter to some. Looking at "General Details" and not doing a deep dive into "The Juicy Details" is sufficient for some potential clients to know the companions they're interested in seeing are safe and not scammers. Some clients prefer shorter reviews which can be found on other sites over lengthy in depth ones.

I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of clients are simply lying to you about reviews. Providers have spent a lot of time demonizing reviews, reviewers and "review culture." The last thing I want is some provider to resent me for being a "slobbyist." It has the potential to ruin an appointment, so I don't mention it. There is a huge incentive to simply lie. If it does come up, I talk about how I dislike the penthouse letters style of reviews and how a lot of guys on boards are misogynists. I'll talk about how I rely on social media and ad copy to get a sense of the providers "vibe." I'm not lying when I say this. I do dislike the penthouse style letters and some guys on the boards seem miserable to be around. Also I do rely on the ads and social media to get a feel for the providers personality. However there is simply no replacement for reviews. They are still the gold standard and I still use them as often as possible. If anything they have become more important than ever. We have a low information environment and scammers have noticed.
.
These days I seek out as much information as possible when picking a provider. However if a provider asks, I have no idea what a review even is.

When providers ASK me to write a review, my normal response is, "I don't have time to write reviews, but I gave you a nice tip to make it up."   I still write them, but I say this to deflect from myself being the reviewer in the provider's mind.  I know MANY reviewers who also tell providers they don't write reviews, just read them.

I write them if asked. I learned my lesson along time ago by upsetting a lady because she didn’t want it out there that she did certain acts. So I’ll review on my alias. I should probably do what you do.

Providers have not demonized reviews, those who abuse reviews did. There are dozens of legit reasons a provider may not want a review.  This is not demonizing anything, it's a personal preference.

I at one time valued reviews highly and have never disputed a review.  However, some experiences through the years have changed the way I feel about reviews.

I've been asked to pay for reviews.  There are some people that put their profit over safety.  I've been offered to buy reviews from someone with multiple TER handles.  They write the review according to my requests, send it to me for approval then post it.  They get paid well per review. This wipes out any safety as well as any real info a gentleman may be looking for.

I find it commonplace for ladies to trade services for reviews.  I've been offered a good review instead of payment. This is insulting as I'm perfectly able to earn real reviews. This also cheapens the review system.

Reviews are used as weapons by some.  I've been threatened with a bad review if I didn't do whatever he was asking.  The only place this got the guy was black listed and on my "no" list.

As far as screening, reviews are not a reliable screening tools, neither are whitelists.  I've been offered money to simply whitelist someone I've never seen putting others at risk.  The number of reviews someone has written tells me nothing about how safe they are. Reviews are a one-sided story.  Although I've never asked for a review to be removed, some of mine are more colorful than our actual meeting.

I'm able to honestly say I have never bought or traded services for a review.  I've never asked anyone to write one, they are all written by gentlemen who decided to write them on their own without my influence.  This not only gives those who are considering me a clear idea of what I offer, it also lets me know how I'm doing as well.

I wouldn't say reviews are demonized, I would say their extremely abused and providers are aware of it.  Occasionally their used by boys ( men do not do this) to get some kind of revenge from a provider.

Sure there are problems with reviews but they are still the best tool that clients have. You say providers are not demonizing reviewers and only demonizing those that abuse reviews. To be honest when providers talk shit about reviews that nuance seems to be missing. A lot of providers have delisted, which suggests they don't really see a distinction at this point and are done with the whole endeavor. That is perfectly fine. Remember there was a time TER was down in the US and a lot of us made due without it. It was fine for a while until scammers took advantage so its back in the tool belt. Either way it doesn't really make sense for a client to identify themselves as a reviewer anymore. Providers used to thank me for writing a positive review when I saw them a second time. These days it is more trouble than its worth. It doesn't matter if providers hate reviewers or people who abuse reviews. I'm just not going to take the chance.

I agree 420. Like I've said in the now dlted thread on whether providers will see a tough grader (not sure why it was dlted), providers not wanting to see reviewers just incentivizes mongers either to lie or play dumb (ie, what is a review, no miss I don't visit any of those sites).

It's eerily similar to someone holding an unpopular radical (left or right) political opinion in a place where typically people have the opposing view. They either lie or stay quiet in desire to not be ostricized or become pariahs.

One difference is, as someone who uses reviews for their original and only true purpose - to inform other prospective customers - I typically have no real use for reviews of a particular provider once I visited her and liked her. If I liked her, I'm likely to repeat and I don't need the info in reviews unless there's been a huge menu change or appearance change or big price jump (all of which are very very rare anyway).

Whereas, where a provider might like a monger and his company during a visit, his external actions such as a public review of her or other provider could very well influence the providers decision to see them (or rather not to see them) again.

Only one of those is a relatiatory action for something you do outside of business. It's denial of service because of what you are or what you beleieve in, not how you are as a customer.

Its essentially the same as denying a service or product to someone solely because of who they support politically.

All true but it's also been the case and some mongers have demonized other reviewer simply because they disagree with the review. The certainly doesn't help encourage writing reviews either.

You mean like when a monger writes a mediocre review of someone who generally is reviewed well, and then he starts receiving deragatory messages and threats by white knights?

Yes, this is a problem. However when I brought it up here people said to just ignore such messages.

A person whose review is truthful and honest, should not be subjected to this simply because his review goes "against the grain". Agreed.

and cases like you when to attacked me, questioned my reviews and claimed I must be working for some agencies.

I think I told you pretty early on I don't believe you to be that.
I never said your reviews are fake or anything of the sort.
I reiterated this many times too.

You may not like me, but I don't have an issue with you. Sometimes I'm frustrated by your inability to publicly criticize, but overall you aren't a bad guy. Lol. Really, I do believe that.

Now your friend who also posts on here and who helped you get into an agency, yes. I do have a reason or two to believe he promotes or even reviews girls without actually seeing them. That's not demonizing though. I don't demonize him. I just don't like him doing that and I think he's a detriment to the community and if he stopped constant promoting, customers and community as a whole would be in a better spot.

Currently,  I'm  not  one  to  ask  my  Clients  to  "review"  me,  as  do
some   Providers  whom  sometimes  offer  the  Client  a  financial
 incentive  to   compose  said  reviews.

When  I  first  began  Providing,  requesting  a  gentleman  to  compose
a  review  was  sometimes  like  pulling  one's  hair  out.

Understandably  so,  as  I  soon  came  to  discover  their  reasoning;

A  few  gentlemen  explained  the  time-consuming  rigor  which  particular
Sites  request  a  review-submission,  was  likened  to  signing  loan
 documents  for  a   home  purchase!

Prior  to  "Sesta/Fosta",  I  had  over  100+  reviews  amidst  several
platforms,   9  of  which  folded  their  business   altogether;   hence
forever  lost.

Those  whom  don't  write  them  are  often  generous-tippers  instead,  and
it's  so  very  much  appreciated!

I  know  one  thing,  I'm  grateful  for  Clients  whether  they  review  or  not!

P. S.  Welcome  Back  Previous  Providers  🤷🏽‍♀️

a class act; articulate, gracious towards everyone, upbeat, and with a positive outlook on this biz.

Returning after about a dozen years away, I haven't any new reviews... cuz I just got 'here'!😂
.
I actually hadn't intended to resurrect "EC" but to restart under a new nom de plume. I approached P411 to be listed and there was simply no way I could meet the criteria. I live abroad so it's not like I could reasonably well attend mixers or seek out well regarded gents or ladies to vouch for me. I asked about "EC" and yes, their vetting is intense but since I was a member in good standing 2009-2013 and could answer the highly personalized questions the same as back in the day, and sent my DL, passport, local newspaper (had to walk 6km around town just to find one!).
.
Again, my intention even with getting my profile back was that I'd change "EC" to the new persona but before I could do that, 2 old friends reached out to say hi and offer a sponsorship to their area to get reacquainted. Ok, well then, I guess maybe I should keep "EC"!😂
.
Because P411 and TER really fit hand-in-glove, I came over here and inquired. I hadn't requested delisting from TER, I just went dark. Their vetting process was different but equally anal-yzing and took a good bit longer. Eventually it worked out, and voici!
.
I hopped on the boards, saw some familiar names, made a post or two and a few old friends, and several prospective new ones have reached out. I'm sure that once we all get dates and travel arrangements worked out, someone will end up posting a new review🤷🏻‍♀️
.
My profiles list Vegas as my home city because I've had occasional travel there recently and there's no point in listing a foreign country🙄  I'm in process of setting up the business end of things (plus website/pics/etc) and once payment processing is handled, I'm stoked to go see my buddies... And make some new ones too!!🤩🥳

Unfortunately & this is why I am reevaluating whom I support moving forward.

I think it's historical.

Most people these days do not remember pre-Internet days, when the hobby was an extremely risky business for providers and clients.  I've been hobbying for over 60 years, and most of those years were spent with streetwalkers or brothel girls who were nameless, who came and went.

The experience was hit or miss, and a "hit" could simply be someone who smiled or was friendly.  Yes, there were high-end brothels, but still, it was mostly anonymous.

Comes the Internet, and comes TER and the world changes.  Slowly at first.  But back in the 90s and early 2000s, the idea of  a review -- a review!!! was revolutionary.  And so was the idea, for the most part, of independent women running reputable good businesses providing great services.

So over the last two or three decades, this business has come out in the open, and as any economist will tell you, that creates a rising tide that lifts all boats.  That's a way of saying that the business has professionalized, that there are prevailing standards, that both sides have pretty much the same expectations and standards.

The result?  There's less need for reviews.  and less incentive to write them.
