in addition to their laziness to go through the motions, if they were to try and use established Ladies to write reviews on, I know who I have seen. I see mostly local regular Gentlemen with a few new Gentlemen thrown in.
Reviews require details, lots of details to get approved, if it was not an encounter I remembered I would be suspicious of the reviewer.
And I know when I have worked and when I haven't as well as where ect...
I can go a month without seeing any new friends. We also screen well so if he has not passed screening, I know I didn't see him.
I believe I am not alone here either.  Most well established Ladies have their reg Gents and they know who they see is a Ter member and who is not.
I think it would be alot more dofficult than you think.

There have been a few discussions on the Minnesota board that have intrigued me and I thought I would bring them to a larger audience.  The discussions, with my own embellishments and exaggerations are as follows:

Discussion 1: Because of overenthusiastic reviewers, differences in taste, and inconsistencies of a provider, it is possible to pay for a good time with an established provider with excellent reviews, and still end up with a very bad time indeed. One case was noted were a fellow paid dearly for a four mile, sleet spattered walk home. See link below.

This greatly limits the value of TER.

Discussion 2: It would be possible, perhaps easy and certainly entertaining, for a police department, on a quiet night over donuts, to register a few imaginary members of TER. Then, as time and coffee permitted, write plausible creative reviews of several popular local providers. With credibility thus established, they could post reviews of a decoy provider, and then sit back and wait while we TER members lined up and waddled into their trap.

Discussion 3: The Eros system requires an ID and affidavit from providers, therefor is safer than TER.

My questions to you reading this board are:

1. Is there any more to say about Discussion 1 than, “Yes, that is true and also applies to doctors, dentists, lawyers, car dealers, car repair shops, contractors, beauty parlors, babysitters, and snow removal outfits.”  See also “Emily’s List.”

2. Does anyone know if there ever has been a LE sting setup using TER? Wouldn't it be faster and easier to just post an ad on CL?

3. Is Eros really any “safer” than TER? Or Backpage or CL? How about Findalay or Cityvibe?”

is a sort of nightmare scenario that has been suggested before.

I don't think there is any actual record of this having been done, but the general feeling at the time is that LE is just too lazy to put all the needed time and effort into that when they can easily set up Craigs List stings which are like shooting fish in a barrel to them.

Nevertheless, it is always wise to review not just the provider's reviews but the reviews of the reviewers to ascertain the legitimacy or lack thereof for any particular provider.

points are equally as poorly thought out.

1.) There is always a YMMV aspect to anything in life where you are taking another person's experience and using it to judge what service you will receive.

Maybe the reviewer showed up nicely dressed and was friendly and comfortable, and you show up rumpled and sweaty and nervous...do you think you are going to get the same treatment? No!

Also, things happen.  Some people click, some don't.  If you see well reviewed ladies with consistent performance ratings, you will...if you show up clean and normal...most likely get the same great service.

As for the incident you linked to, that lady had very inconsistent reviews...not the "excellent review" you stated in your post.  An experienced hobbyist would have seen that she was unreliable and would have avoided her.  This is no way limits the value of TER, it actually shows the value of TER if the hobbyist had just thought with his big head and listened to what was there to hear!

2.) LE is going to do what LE does.  Giving them ideas about how to bust you and your fellow hobbyists in a public forum is just plain STUPID!

3.) Great a lady gives you an ID and shows she is who she is...so what?  Even crooks have to be someone...they all have IDs and can sign a statement that they are who they are, but they are still crooks.

TER is reviews from customers, not ads from providers...it is apples and oranges, so how can one be better than the other?

The ads on any site are just that, ads.  it is our responsibility as hobbyists to check for reviews and to protect ourselves when no reviews can be found.

If the lady at the door is not the lady in the pic...Walk Away!

If there are 10 ads with the same phone number all claiming to be Indy's...Stay Away!

If it looks too good to be true, and no reviews, and BS answers on the phone...Stay Away!

In response to your "answers"...

1.) WTF does Emily's List, a Political Action Committee have to do with this?

2.) I am sure someone has tried.  Yes

3.) No, it isn't.  Always look for reviews no matter where you find the ad.  If no reviews, be vigilant, be safe, and be smart!

Always remember: If you think with your big head, your little head will have a good time.  If you think with your little head, you will only bring trouble and regret to your big head!

What he posted were questions that have been posted many times before.
He is not giving LE any ideas. Do you think LE is STUPID? They were not born after his post was put up.

I find it difficult to disagree with your thoughts.  Just to add a bit:

1. Sounds like you are as tired as I am of hearing complaints that a reviewer didn't give the same score as the poster would have or didn't receive the same level of service.  I ordered a medium rare steak last night and it was medium!  Damn you Zagat!  (BTW, it's not Emily ... but some other lady whose name escapes me as well)

2.  I tend not to think of the police as always stupid.  They work with limited budgets and need to justify the benefit/cost ratio and get good press.  No doubt they've thought of doing as you suggest but the planning vs the rewards are limited.  They don't need to create fake reviews to arrest 10 guys off Craigslist.  So the reward to the fake reviews is being able to say they arrested 10 smart guys rather than 10 stupid guys.  That's not really worth it.

While you do get some dept. that focus on prostitution for prudish reasons, most do it for quality of life and publicity.  The Craigslist stings are publicity.  It's a well-known website that ordinary people visit (and illicitly click on erotc services out of curiosity).  You don't get the publicity from using a website that most voters have never heard of.

If you evaluate reviewed providers to protect yourself from ripoffs, LE shouldn't be a concern either.

3.  I imagine LE can obtain inaccurate IDs for undercover work and lying on an affidavit in this instance is fine.  Maybe that info helps solve the crime if I'm murdered ... but otherwise not much use.

Search my post under Legal Corner forum, I responded an ad on Eros awhile ago and I was pretty sure there was something else going on.  I did not end going, so I can not give you a definite answer.
