Is it me or is TER Missing a few boards?  Thought it would be a nice feature there would be a discussion board for each state.  Any thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing earlier today!  Being north of Baltimore, I am somewhat between areas.  DC or Philly are both an hour away for me.

If you scroll down a bit from the listing of national boards there is a regional board section that has boards by various states/cities

Yep that is true and I have known about the regional board prior to this post.  It has a few cities and a few states and I guess this is not an issue if your area is listed.  That still leaves 80% or greater of the states uncovered.

Why not post this on the Suggestions and Policy board?  This is not the first tiome this subject has come up, and I agree that several regional areas are neglected, such as Ohio, NJ, St. Louis, Denver, N'Orleans, and perhaps a few other ares as well...

The polygamists have to have their say too.

I know there are some local and state boards that are active but the boards for Texas are essentially provider ad boards or 411's.

We worked at trying to make it happen on the Dallas Board and it just never took off. Simply too many ads.

That said, having more Boards or local boards is not necessarily a good idea. IMHO.

As OFF said a lot of areas don't have the traffic except for ads.  And each forum has to have a moderator, so TER has to deal with that issue.

But as someone else said, never hurst to put in the suggestion area, they do read it, and I'd think if Admin got enough requests from a region they'd consider adding it.  But it would probably take more than 3 or 4 people.

Hugs,
TS Jamie :-)

TER tried regional boards in Florida about 6 months ago.  It didn't work.  We have one board for the whole state and that works great.  We also have one of the best Mods-Sly.
