Re: Strange Situation...

Email her back. tell her you called and ask WTF? Tell her you are not sure you still want to see her. If she apologizes, see her. if she is rude, cancel and move on.

I got this situation while trying to schedule an appointment.  I e-mailed the provider my information and the time I wanted set the appointment for.  Within hours, she e-mailed me back, saying I was all set, and telling me to call her (without specifying when to call).

So I called the next day, which was Sunday (a possible mistake on my part).  The first time, she didn't pick up, and the message box was full.  I tried again later, and she picked up this time.  There was *a lot* of background noises, and as soon as I started talking, she yelled "NO INCALLS TODAY", and hung up before I could respond.

I found that a little rude, but whatever.  About half hour later, she called back, and when I picked up, there was a loud blast that sounded like an air horn, followed by background noises.  After saying hello a few times, I hung up.

Now, this provider has a decent number of reviews, and good responses to a "411" post on the forums.  But did she actually do a phone prank?  What did I possibly do wrong, other than calling on a Sunday?  And is she even worth seeing at this point, or should I cancel the appointment before it's too late?

... she was at the game - LOL !!!

(airhorn, background noise, Sunday - oh well, it made sense to ME anyway)

Usually a call is made in the morning of the day of the appointment to verify it is still happening.

As for her calling you, probably was a mistake as your number was one of the last ones on her phone and like another said, she most likely was at a game. She might have jumped up and when sat back down accidentally hit the "recall" button or something along those lines.

Send an email if it is a day or more before the appointment to explain and confirm. The day of the appointment, call her to confirm again.

all I can say is - it left me cold.... never called back.  Instead called around, and there are plenty of ladies I would rather see... they are just nicer.

Related, once a provider gave me her private # and suggested that it would be ok to call.... we called each other for a while, but she moved and that made it hard to get together.... alas... I always wonder...  but once when I had her private # I called... and it did confuse her (early on a Sunday AM).  my take home?  I guess you can call at "the wrong time!"

Craziness..
I've had a few screwy connections with providers but usually chock it up to them not knowing really who is calling or probably not caring. I think most of the time providers don't think about their clients until the appointment time gets near.
This probably helps them distance themselves.
as to your situation; I might send an e-mail or try calling again the day of the appointment.
I have in the past not re-called providers when they canceled or took a long time to return my call.

There are a lot of beautiful providers out there so I just roll the dice again...

Wow. That doesn't sound like she was up on her phone etiquette.  If she was in the middle of something she shouldn't have picked up, let alone be rude and hang up on you.  No excuse for poor manners. If someone is having a bad day & can't refrain from taking it out on others, isolate yourself and don't answer the phone!!
