Do you try to commit to memory all your sessions or just the good ones?

It's become my little memoir list, something to look back and say to myself, "Yeah I remember her".
But I'd say I do recall/remember most of my rendezvous, the good, the bad and the non-reviewed ladies I've met.

dozen or so.  When you're just starting out, it's all new and wonderful, and you remember each girl and every detail.  Once you pass a hundred or two, it's all kind of a blur, but there are a few dozen exceptional ladies, including the providers I have had real life relationships with, that I play over and over in my mind, often as I'm drifting off to sleep.  I will never forget those special ones.

I haven't had hundreds like some people, but I also tend to forget people, so I keep a spreadsheet and every once in a while I'll review it.  I do remember most, but some names now draw a blank.

I will remember some, generally the good, much longer than others but I'm not trying to do so. And I'm not really one of those that is largely a one time and move on to the next. I'm largely living in the moment and looking to have a good time -- not create memories to live through later in life.

the girls that are favorites and I see multiple times.
But I do have memories of sessions that pop up once and a while that brings a smile to my face.

But overall I do have a good memory. There are some that stick in your memory without any effort either by virtue of being good or bad. If they don't stick in your memory maybe they weren't all that worthwhile or terrible.

the details of any date. I remember the women, and the impressions that they made on me - I remember the people.

I remember my first, and many other women fondly; I still get a smile when thinking about those I clicked very well with.

A gift from the almighty in terms of how our brains work.

hmm. I think I remember the bad experiences as much or more. There was a recent Hidden brain about the effect of the negative on us...Maybe this falls in that arena too.

Glad you don't have my affliction.

I thought I had a good memory, but when I read my reviews, I think to my self "really, that's how it went?"
(most of my reviews are unpublished by the way - I had them taken down back when TER allowed that sort of thing.)

Just like rats, cats, dogs, and frogs, we have the innate ability to adapt to different stimuli and we do so differently. Conditioned responses.
.
For example, when I see two posts such as those from mrfisher and LikeTearsInRain, I am conditioned to want to shove electrodes into their brains and measure the output before, during, and after good sessions and bad sessions and to see how they differ.
.
I would consider using MRI instead of electrodes but shoving electrodes into brains is more fun!

I would have preferred an anal probe, but nooooo, they were already beyond their quotas for those that day.

I have had so few negative experiences that the details of them tend to stick in my mind.

The vast majority are good/great and while I may not remember all the details certainly the general impressions stay put in my mind.

Then there are a small handful of ladies that I have a more special relationship with and many great lasting memories.

Using an anal probe would distort the experiment. You would clearly enjoy it so much that it would likely mask or distort your sense of a "good" or "bad" session. (And LikeTears might hate it so much ...). Shoving electrodes into your brains would not interfere with the rest of the session and I wouldn't feel a thing.
.
Don't feel embarrassed about suggesting a bad experiment. There have been many other bad experiments that didn't measure the right thing.

I would have preferred an anal probe, but nooooo, they were already beyond their quotas for those that day.
Anthropologists were studying a long isolated tribe of indigenous peoples with a unique culture and language. They were trying to understand their language. With the help of a translator, they asked, "What is this?" and pointed to a tree. "Mkane." "What is this?" and pointed to a rock. "Mkane." "What is this?" and pointed to a lizard, a flower, and so on. "Mkane." "Mkane." ... . They returned to their Ivory Tower and wrote their paper about a remarkable people whose language uses the same word to refer to numerous distinct objects.
.
Another group of researchers went back to visit the tribe to investigate further. "What is this?" "Mkane." Using additional tests, they figured out that "Mkane" is that tribe's word for "finger pointing."
