I keep hearing stories from ladies that a guy shorted her $25 here or $50 there and it always seems to boil down to one of three things.

1. On her review page, the donation has never been updated.  Some of these pages are years old.

2. There are different rates listed on her site for touring and not touring.  The man chooses the lesser of the two whether it applies or not and then claims ignorance.

3. Her Eros or other ad is different from the web site.

This can all be avoided by either sticking to the booking form on the site and adding a drop down time/donation menu or agreeing on time and donation up front via direct communication.  It will also eliminate the mood kill of counting the money up front that unfortunately becomes necessary once a lady has been burned several times.

These seemingly small amounts add up over time, especially while touring and incurring additional expenses.

When a potential client inquires about seeing a lady I think the responsibility is hers to ask where he heard about her. She should always refer him to whatever site or ad has her most current rate and be sure to tell him that her most up to date information is available there.

If you check every site most ladies post ads or are reviewed...here, 411, dcheck, rs2k, eros, CV, and then include all the "second tier" sites like BD, NReviews, etc...and then throw in the "third tier" sites like Cl and BP, I swear you can find 10  or more different rates.  It's anybody's guess which to use.  Do you ask the lady?  No...because it's tacky.  But...we better get it right!

So you think the safe place is to go is with the rates on her personal website. WRONG! I was with a lady last week who told me she'd lost the password to her site over a year ago and couldn't make any changes.

And that's the easy part!!!! What about grandfathering?  Are you, or aren't you?  I always err to the girl's favor...but it does add up.  After all, if it's a business, shouldn't it "really be a business?"

Fortunately, I've been able to find a couple of ladies that are truly professional, that keep their sites updated -- both with photos AND pricing.  It sure helps keep it a business...but keep the business out of the date!

A lady emailed me to let me know she was in the area and accepting appointments. She directed me to her web page where it listed her rates.

I later saw an ad she posted announcing her rate was $100/hr. more than what her web page listed. She did not ever mention this ad to me.

My schedule has prevented me form seeing her, but I can just imagine the scene, "Where's my extra $100?"

I will agree IN PART, but this is a rather weird view of any financial transaction.  Why do you think the basic laws of business shouldn't apply here?

I agree she is responsible to make sure the rates listed on all her web sites and CURRENT ads are consistent.  If they are not most guys will select the lowest one and she has no valid reason to complain.  She also has the responsibility to make sure home/touring rates on her site are clear, and to make clear where "home" is.

But if she has done these then a guy is WRONG to claim "confusion" about whether SallyOfSavanah is home or touring when he sees her in Los Angeles or to point to a price on her review page which she often can't change and may not even know exists.  That info often came from the first guy to review her so how is that her responsibility to update.  Anyway, all things on the review page are hypothetical fiction from some guy's memory, right?

A guy needs to go to current, authoritative sources.  No different than if I went to a restaurant ordered a steak marked $30 on the menu, left $20 as I walked out because "I read a review of this place from 2007 and they said the steak was $20."  Or tried to argue that last Christmas they ran a $20 special and I was confused.

I always confirm $ via email pre-date. I make sure not to connect it with any discussion of "services". Never had a problem.

Remember folks, there is NOTHING illegal with hiring a date as long as you aren't paying for sex! wink, wink

If she pointed you to a specific web site I would have to assume that is the info she wants to apply to you.  Any error in that case has to be on her.

Ads and web sites without rates, don't want discuss it over the phone or email and some have rates on their reviews and some don't have reviews.

My take: I don't call them because it is no win situation, either you under pay then you are worse than sh!t or you over pay and no one hears about it.

Understand the tip thing but in this case you don't know what you are tipping or not.

Unless you have the time troll all of the websites, you are SoL. Don't know how many has that amount time the whole thing becomes like planning for a vacation. Not very exciting!

First of all, I believe that in order to have a review posted, there has to be rate listed.  If a lady will not discuss a rate before meeting, then it is probably going to be an up-sale situation. It's crazy to go into a meeting with that being a variable.

Doesn't a lack of clarity = NO INTEREST? Would you see someone who isn't bright enough to make everything incredibly simple? NOT ME.

i do my best to avoid any talk of money in my email. i read her website carefully. i pay the rate listed there. i clearly state that i have read her website. my favorite transactions are the ones where money is not mentioned on either side. the emails never speak of P4P, just the setting up of a meeting or date. i have yet to have a problem with someone thinking that i shorted them. just my humble .02! sail

due to different rates in different places, I have no problem asking the lady what her rate is for the dinner date, or the amount of time I'm asking for. I try to do it tactfully, in an email, or on the phone. I'll tell her that "I realize we're not supposed to talk about this, but I'm a bit confused on your rates". If she hangs up, then I'll move on. So far, that hasn't happened.

What an advantage; That's why my new ATF is my ATF.  Her website spells everything out, cut and dried, simple to understand, always updated, very professional, EASY.  By eliminating these issues it makes the time spent  together more comfortable,

Sorry, I'm not sure which part of my post you're referring to.  Most TER review pages have a link to her personal page and that's the one I'd use unless (as someone pointed out) she points you to a different one.

I didn't intend to say anyone should look at dozens of web sites but if a guy is in such a rush he can't do ANY research he should probably stick to CL or such.

I still don't get why a provider should be expected to troll web sited for dollar figures she didn't even know were posted about her.

I try to keep the rates in all ads the same. If they check the site and not the ad they pay what I have on the site or vice versa if they check an ad they pay the ad price and not what's on my site. I tried to keep things as current as possible to avoid confusion and when the donation is given to me or placed in front of me I politely take it to the bathroom for maybe 5 seconds to make sure it's right for the length of appt we agree to on the phone.

It is best to stick to reliable sources. Not saying there aren't any diamonds in the rough once in while. ToFT is conscious decision to roll dice.
