My contract also ran out this summer but I refused to budge on the 4s. You can read all the gossip on the internet but I tend to lean toward websites such as that which is attached.

A larger screen (yahoo!!!) which was always against Steve Jobs wishes and a possible release date of summer/fall 2012.

I have searched High and low for the release date of the sooooo awesome Iphone 5 and it's no where to be found my upgrade is up this coming month.So  is it worth it for me to get the Iphone 4S? or do one of you amazing gents want to let me in on a secret and atleast give me a hint on the release date. I know one of you gents know.....

iPhone 4s was just released in Oct.  According to blogs Apple is planning on releasing iPad 3 or iPad 2X (whatever it going to be called is still a secret) in the first Quarter of 2012. So, don't expect iPhone 5 to come out anytime before 2nd Quarter of 2012.

So if you don't want to wait that long, go ahead and buy iPhone 4s.

I would think there may be one next spring which is Apple’s normal product announcement. There is rumor about Apple TV also, so it may end up being an iTV announcement instead.

Yes, Apple is super secretive about their releases, but there is enough info on the web leaked that can give you general idea.

The average release cycle for an iphone is approximately 300 days. The 4S is still pretty early in this release cycle. Whether you should get it or not depends on what phone you have currently. If it is the 3GS  then I'd say definitely get it, the screen itself is worth it.

The battery life of the 4s is half the one of the 4...I regret having sold the 4 for the 4s

And you better believe I will be getting the 5 the DAY it comes out.  My sources tell me summer 2012.

half the time it complains about no internet access and won't do a simple thing like voice dial a phone number.  My BB at least did that.  

Would I go back to my BB? Nope... but Siri is still crap.

I currently have a regular iPhone 4 which I love so I will go ahead and purchase the iPhone 4S thanks for all the tips even though I'm so excited for the 5

Try asking Siri for an abortion provider. She/he/it sends you to an anti-abortion service. I posted on apple's board and they shut it down. Other than that, the 4S is awesome.
