I've found that the "exhilaration" lasts for a day or two.  Then I come down from the dopamine / adrenolin high and feel lousy.  The last few I've seen haven't been exactly great and I know if I hit one of my ATFS  life will seem great for a couple of days then back to earth.  I'm taking a break from escorts for a while to figure out what I'm really looking for.  I've seen enough of them to know what to expect, (I've had some great ones) but I'm not happy with what I get out of it at the moment.

It may seem strange to admit to burnout in this lifestyle, but when it happens, it’s never about the women as it is always a reflection of me being fatigued by p4p and not allowing myself the necessary down time every few months.

I think your decision to step back is a wise one. That period of distance is often the only way to evaluate whether this lifestyle is truly a net positive. I still enjoy it immensely, but I’ve come to understand that it needs to be kept in balance and put in its proper place from time to time. It took me a long time to figure that out and to fully benefit from doing so.

I think it is very easy to loose sight of what you can and, generally, cannot get out of this activity. When you start expecting more than you are likely to find (and I'm not talking about the bad session here and there), a rethink about what you're expecting to get is well worth it.
