LOL! No wonder the style of writing seemed so familiar.
I was going to see a provider today. We spoke several times on the phone. I get to the parking lot of the hotel and am actually standing in front of the doors to walk in the lobby when she calls me back.
"I forgot to tell you something" she says.
"I need you to run to the CVS and pick up a Vanilla Gift card and put the money on it. Call me when you get back. I will verify the money and then give you my room number."
I was like "What?"
She said she doesnt like cash on the first time because the cops mark it.
I didnt feel comfortable doingthis so i told her no thank you.
QUESTION: Is this an acceptable practice now? How safe is it?
TIA.
I would have done the same exact thing.
BTW how did she say that she was going to "verify" the money before you came upstairs?
Excuse me, forget what I said in my caption, I don't care how hot she was, I would take a pass as well. Was any of this odd behavior mentioned in her reviews? Or did she even have any reviews? My guess would be no.
That would be like giving cash upfront. If she doesn't call you back, it's because she's buying something on the web.
This scam I've been running has worked so well over the years...and it's assholes like you that don't get me the money really piss me off.
Gotta go...another dumb fuck john is calling with those numbers. At least 5 out of 10 morons fall for this trick.
But not you LOL
PS....don't report us as ripoff artists. We work hard to fool johns with this scam. And we need to eat...so there

so you wouldn't be clear minded enough to see that was a scam.
My first thought when anyone tries to get you to make a very quick decision about money.
but thanks for the heads up. Sounds like the typical ROB behavior we all know and detest.
although CPA has probably dumped the BP listing, email, and google voice # by now.
Not only is she not at that hotel. She is not even in your state. She gets the numbers from the card. She has the money. You have blue balls and an empty wallet. She stops answering your calls, and "burns" her phone, and then runs new ads in other cities with a new number.
You are right about the scam, of course. But she IS in his state, she met him at the front door of the hotel. I'm assuming that she was hot enough to increase his desire to run out and buy the gift card, of course.
I would have said "sounds good. listen, why don't you blow me first? we've had some problems around here with girls taking the money and running..."
,but a hooker refusing to take your cash while you are both presently standing in the same place, is insane.
Like you said, she could have performed the service, and afterward the OP could have went and purchased the GC. Same basic scenario, only the provider takes the financial risk.
Some one should invent a pen. That when swiped against a person's skin, will ID their LE status.
He was in the parking lot, standing in front of the doors to the lobby, when she called him. I don't think he ever saw her. This is a typical new scam. Not the old fasioned cash and dash. They don't need to dash, because they're not there. They give you the hotel info, and tell you to call from the parking lot for room number, then get the gift card numbers by phone from the sucker, and never give out the room number (because for one thing they don't have a room there!)
The prepaid card service for the scammer, who is too busy to leave the house, to take a trick's money and run.

I swear to all that is holy that his post said SHe was standing by the front door.
It did.
It DID.
I told her I was going to the store to get it and would call her back. After a few minutes my spidey sense started tingly. I called her back and asked her exactly how this works. She said she gets the number and calls Vanilla and verifies the funds. I said cant you do that online? She said no she didnt need the pin #.
The thing is that I have a "Square" that I use on my phone to transact some sales from fairs and trade shows. What would be the difference for her to run the vanilla number I just gave her through a program similar to that.
Darn, she was kind of cute too.
As a consolation, one of the people that responded is a provider from my area.
Your first post mentioned nothing about seeing her. Only phone calls.
The phrase
"She said she doesn't like cash on the first time because the cops mark it."
Sounds like an assertion of guilt. Like she was more concerned with getting into legal trouble with her scam. Verses the legal trouble of what she advertised for.
I know there are some gals that think cops are only allotted the certain amount that is due for the appointment. So they ask them to go buy something as a cop check type thing. I have heard this, tho I doubt the thinking behind it is accurate.
And if you were to get the card, why cant she call and verify it with you in the room ? If it didnt verify she could not see you. But that would be the common sense thing if someone was asking for money on a card.
But from the sound of it it seems you did the smart thing.
I hate all the scamsters on both sides. It would be nice if people could do what they say...
My favorite quote by Dr Seuss "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." well i thought the wording was a bit different but still the sentiment is there.
Nice gentleman wold allow himself to think so low so he goes to some. Scammer he met on back page ? While if he would respect himself he is very capable find here on ter nice women? As lovers and companions and porno stars. I always wonder why or why you gentlemen talking about scammers about back page about women with no reviews I know you are risk takers but better take risks in. Let say in investment in sport adventure then in criminal world of prostution if remember how many here are decent women no less skilled then hookers so hooker scammer fantasy just out of reach for my mind
In russia it was scams as he pays takes pants off - hubby comes he is happy just flew in one peace not beaten up. So I do hea some gentlemen here call those men jonhs those who are running by back page no reviews risking all yes it is who are jonhs
And we are not hookers and jonhs ? Yes? We are lover kinky naughty adult lovers yeds sad that goverment le think they can tell us how spend money and what to do with our bodies. Kisses
... I knew this was you as soon as I started reading this.
LOL! No wonder the style of writing seemed so familiar.
Luckily it was just one out of fourteen, but it still happened. She used to advertise here on the TER ad boards, had mostly good scores, but I still got taken advantage of. I am just stating a fact of life that happened to me and not complaining, as I learned a lesson out of it. Having said that, I agree that the risks from BP ads is a lot higher than TER, but there will always be a risk no matter where you look to meet someone. I am sure there are a lot of providers and hobbyists that have had at least one bad encounter through ads they have answered on TER.
Your explanation doesn't wash
I didn't read the entire thread and perhaps this isn't related. Sorry if I misunderstood the threads.

Well, at least your big head was not overpowered by the little one.
Good reminder for us all to stay on our "A" Game, and avoid the things that seem strange.
Once upon a time, a VP at a bank I worked for told me he could hire 3 fresh college grads for what he is paying me, but he's buying those little hairs on the back of my neck.
Listen up when they talk to you.
