I've been doing some hobbying abroad, mostly in Canada and East Europe - the only verification thing asked was a call-back number ...easily bypassed, just didn't have a phone while staying there

Really liked the setup in Montreal - call a couple numbers, ussually an agency, and have a fresh girl in the room in under an hour!

Same in Eastern Europe, just had face control at a couple incalls, that's about it.

May be they don't have bad client there, no NCNS, no serial killer. Just an all happy place, what do I know.

So is screening solely the US phenomenon?
- think it is, and guys in US are wimps, and will put up with shit that no sane guy abroad ever will.

in Canada and East Europe it's LEGAL! therefore no need to screen to weed out LE! what a shocking surprise!

so your "international perspective" is easily explained away by that fact alone. the girls don't want to be low hanging fruit for cops. imagine the impertinence!

also the US is #6 in the world in assaults per capita, #9 in rapes, but only #24 in murders. in total crimes per capita the US is #8 ahead of Canada and Eastern Europe.

so perhaps a better way to look at it is that US men who want to play need to have the guts to give screening information and not wimp out and dump all the risks on the ladies? dumping the risk on the ladies seems like a wimpy thing to me.

so here's my little pro screening rant with stats to debunk the twisted excuse for an "international perspective" you have offered.

It is more then just screening for LE, though that is a huge part of it. You also have to look at the culture here in America and the way Providers are viewed. It wasn't that long ago cases involving a murder or rape of a provider were marked NHI (No Human Involved).

With this and many men who do seek out providers have no respect or care for us at all, and would love to do anything to us as they see us less then human and very easy targets.

Canada and Europe are not as sexually repressed as we are here. They do not have the hang ups we do.

Women in this business are targeted at least 80% more by LE in this nation, and physical violence against a provider happens to the women in this business 98% more then it does to the hobbyist in the US.

So yes Screening and references have become necessary. You should look at it as a good thing, know that if a girl is safe with you, she is more then likely to have screened the guy before you and they guy after you.

Wouldn't you hate it to be the guy before the girl that got murdered and had his DNA in her room and on her. If she screened and something horrible happened to her, and she had an organized record of who she saw and when sure would help them clear you quickly. But the chances are that if a man means harm he isn't going to do to be someone to readily give that information. So ultimately her screening everyone Protects everyone involved. Not just herself.

If screening out LE is the objective then, some questions make no sense whatsoever.

What doe are circumcised or what color is your hair has to do with screening out LE?

When you complicate things and make it more difficult, criminals and killers want to find a way to beat the complicated system. By the way LE is very good at beating complicated and sophisticated methods.

The areas you play in are hotbeds for human trafficking.And Europe has had many and some very famous instances of serial killers who only hunt providers so your opinion is not an educated one and perhaps should be kept to yourself.The United States has more violent crime per capita than any country without an active war on its soil making screening a necessity both in the civie world for employment and rental properties as well as the hobby.So while you  may have an international perspective what good is it if it is so horribly  skewed? Non of my European clients had ever had an issue with screening and just the fact that you would even be so ignorant to insinuate Eastern Europe is a happy place or you have the "inside knowledge" on no call no shows is incredible!

like the original poster you are making an oversimplification which distorts the issue of screening.

the most important objectives of screening are to eliminate LE and crazies who are dangerous. additional questions may be asked to reduce other business risks as well: shorting, rude behavior, NCNS, the list is quite long.

BTW when you simplify things and DON'T SCREEN make it easier for LE to operate. sure LE may have the capacity to defeat screening but they have to spend resources to do so. when you don't screen they don't have to work so hard.

the girls are wise to assume responsible for their own safety and business practices by screening.

the client is wise to assess his own risk tolerance and either accept the risks of complying, the greater risk (IMO) of making a date with someone who _doesn't_ screen, or playing very safe and staying at home with a good book.

risks: take responsibility for your own, don't dump yours on someone else.

It is clear that Larry Elmer does not believe that escorts are providing a professional service.

When I go to a doctor or dentist,I have to fill out a form with my full name,age,address,home phone and cell phone numbers,employment information and some info on who to contact in case of an emergency.  If I won't be paying in cash I'll need to provide some financial information as well(credit card,insurance,bank info).

If you hire a contractor(plumber,carpenter,electrician,landscaper),they will come to your home,you will give them info about you and how you intend to pay for the work to be done.  They may even meet your SO.

If you neglect to pay these people the agreed upon fee, you will begin to receive letters from collection agencies.

In comparison,providing requested screening information to a well reviewed and respected provider so that she feels safe in meeting you, doesn't seem like too much to ask.  

It may take more than "under an hour" for one of these wonderful women to verify your information.

It seems Larry Elmer doesn't have time for that and prefers his encounters to be of the under an hour pizza delivery variety.  That's a real shame Larry.  I just wonder what Larry does with the remaining 50 or so minutes of his appointment.....after he's had his fast food fix.Hmmmm.........
