Scheduling nightmares

OK, I have not been doing this long, perhaps 6 months but this is the third time this has happened. I have a regular travel schedule so I know weeks in advance where I will be traveling. I make an appointment 2 weeks in advance with a well reviewed lady, hear back from her, have my references checked, blah blah blah. Things look fine.

Now a week before the trip I contact her to confirm to find out that she is traveling that week to another city. WTF? did she get a better offer perhaps for an overnight? I had booked a muti hour appointment, a phone call or e-mail telling me things have changed would be fine. In this last case I just went to the ladies website to check out her pics again and see on her calendar that she will be out of town the day that we planned to meet. Help me understand?

Pissed off local clientelle, maybe not such a smart girl after all. lol

A simple email or phone call isn't too much to ask. Or at least you wouldn't think so.

I was trying to be nice and didn't want to call her a dumb broad for blowing him off :)

could work for NASA and improve their scheduling. Others can't plan a trip to the local 7-11.

I like the sharp one's and keep my business there.

No disrespect to the ladies who are not that way. Dancers are the same way.  I love em all, but I never count on them.

If you would have researched her more.
A tour is usually advertised on here and on several other sites. Plus, it was on her website.
I'd also like to ask if the blah, blah, blah  included a confirmation email with date and time?
here is a tip
Change the message heading as you communicate. The first one might be Hello, or I am interested,
but when all is said and done, I like them to say
Saturday 2pm. After Saturday 2pm rolls around, hit delete.

One last thing. We're all human and we make mistakes. If you brought the mistake to her attention and she never responded back, then I guess she made 2 mistakes.

Do more homework. :)
And don't give up.
I have a Droid. My emails get answered 90% of the time, when they are delivered. Because I only see one friend a day, I get to my mail, no problem.
But not everyone has that luxury.

Hound_Dog69 has it right.  I look for women with at least half a brain.  Makes for less problems and better sessions.  But that's me.

one would think she might have had some idea when she was leaving.  Wouldn't one?  Since no one else has come up with this theory, here goes (and it's not out of the realm of possibilities)
Many things change on a tour.  I had one where the date was set and confirmed, only to have her not show because she didn't have enuff appointments!  On the other side of the coin, she probably had a tentative date set to leave.  You didn't catch it, and she double booked.  Win win for her.  If she has enough interest she takes off and leaves you.  If she has little interest showing up, she doesn't go and has you!!
Watch that stuff carefully, make sure you don't miss little items like this.  I won't book a touring lady till she gets here, and if a local is going elsewhere, I don't book anywhere near that time.
The $$$she makes trumps the crap she pulls!

Hmmmm!? Is it just me?  Two weeks in advance! I have always considered a few days in advance to be a stretch.

I am not qualified to disagree, 'cuz I don't deal with hobbyists. So you could be right.
What I am qualified to tell you about is my experience (and my experience only.)

I've been around a while, and I've noticed a trend, which is... as a group, women in the erotic entertainment field have are far more likely to be flighty and flakey that the civvie population at large. Contrast that with women as a group in the health field, and in the law field, both of whom are far more dependable than the civvie population at large. I also contrast them with women in the food and beverage field and the sales field, who are about the same as the civvie population at large.

Those are simply groups I've spent enough time with to see certain patterns. My observations and opinion, and--since dependability is measurable and is not a subjective evaluation--I say it without judgement.

I've found that women in the erotic entertainment field, by and large, have some strong characteristics in common with each other that are more desireable than the civvie population at large. What those are is not important here.

These are only my observations.

Since your comment was a defensive reply to mine, I wouldn't put much credence in it. That indicates to me that your idea that hobbyiests as a group are more flaky than other men is disingenuous. Had you put the idea in a post, straight out, I'd give it the consideration it  deserved.

As it is, well it sounds about like...
"Well I'm rubber and you're glue, what bounces of me sticks to you" ... Just catty and bitchy. LOL

By the way JoD, HalfHour is my real TER handle and not an alias. Since, I've NOT noticed yet that providers are less intelligent or more presumptuous than civvie women as a whole, I'll consider that comment an anomoly! :D

And yes, I know that "HalfHour" is your real TER handle, I can see the little envelope, and I never said you were using an alias.  You are making an assumption, and a wrong one at that, that I didnt recognize that you werent an alias.  I merely said "no alias needed", meaning I dont feel the need to speak my mind under an alias, not that you were using an alias yourself.

Have a good day!

Lady I've seen often. Mature, intelligent and -- of course -- an expert at her craft.

We talk on a Monday. First she fills me in on all the stuff going on in her life, and then it comes to me scheduling, but she has to go before we complete it. Tells me to call her back. So I call her later. Voicemail full. Send her an email? Her 'puter is on the fritz so she can't get it. Call her on Tue. No answer, voicemail full. Call her on Wed. No answer, voicemail full.

Well, obviously, I don't make arrangements to see her later that week.

Thursday evening she calls. "Weren't we supposed to schedule something this week?"

Uh, yeah. I tried. But I can't do it now. How 'bout next week?

Now, I know this lady and I know she is anything but "flaky." She just has a lot going on. I like her a lot, consider her a friend, and she isn't going to lose my business over something silly like that. I'll wait.

But, still, it's kind of funny.

What I'm saying is that if this had happened with a lady I didn't know -- my perception would have been that she was a flake. Hell, I probably wouldn't have even bothered past the second call.

But I already know her, and know better than that crap. So I instead attribute it to any of a dozen other very legitimate issues that could be going on.

So how the same objective behavior is interpreted very much depends on what we know about the person and our existing impressions.

Another case.

Lady I've seen before. For all practical purposes, I really consider her a paragon of virtue. We make a date.

She calls me a few hours before hand, and tells me something has come up (she was very specific about what had come up), and we won't be able to connect that day.

IF this had been someone I didn't know, I likely would have assumed the worst. But I know this lady. So I simply left it in her hands to schedule me for later. She did, and everything went perfectly.

The bottom line is that we have a tendency to make worst-case-scenario assumptions about the motivations of people we do not know. But once we know them and they have earned our trust; our assumptions are far more positive.

I am reasonably certain that many of the providers being referenced as "flakes" -- aren't really flakes at all. It is just that they are not known by the hobbyist, and as a result they don't get much benefit of the doubt.

Every lady is different on how she handles her business.Common courtesy would be to call the person if the lady can't keep appt, need to re-schedule time,or going out of town or email.Just because ladies are well-reviewed doesn't mean they take care of business. There are a lot of ladies well-reviewed & on top of their stuff you just have to research more.I have had hobbyist contact me for appt almost a month ahead of time everything check out confirm appt & then the last minute they cancel no reason or I don't hear from them only a few have done this most are respectful of time.Time is something you can't getback,so be choosy on who you spend your time with.
