Assuming that you didn't discuss rates when you made the appointment, come prepared to pay the new one. You can always put the old amount in the envelope and, if she says something, say something to the effect that was the amount listed on the site when you made the appointment. That puts the ball in her court
Have an appointment with a provider tomorrow, checked her web site today, it seems her rates have changed. I'm not cheap, do I ask? Any comments or experience?

I believe in being up front. If a gent put the wrong amount in the envelope I would be feel uncomfortable inquiring about the rest though I would.
I feel that having the ball forced into my court this way would taint the session.
You want to leave feeling better then when you came right? So does she.
Don't be cheesie. Simply send her an email and mention that you booked her not only for her sexyness but also for the origional price advertised. Ask her if this would work for her.
For touring ladies over 3 bucks a gallon gets costly and hotel rates have also gone up.
So if she advertised a lower rate and did not get enough response to cover expenses then she may have had to alter her rate, so someone else other then the oil companies and the hotels gets to make a buck and stay in business.
When I tour it costs me 60.00 in gas and usually 150 plus per day in hotels so If my hourly is 300 then you can see that for one, one hour client the take home minus food is 90 if i drop my donation 50 and only get one client then, I only profit 40 dollars. well you can see the dilemma here.
Now if a lady gets more responses to her post the discount works out and she gets a couple more clients. Then it is all gravy from there since the overhead turns into a business investment
The fact is in this economy sometimes a lady walks away with a pittins.. I know your gents think we are raking in the dough and seeing loads of clients but in todays market that is not the reality.
Somedays when a lady is on tour she only ends up seeing one client a day and in the end winds up paying to see you.
Would your really mind paying her an extra 50 so she can at least pay her light bill when she gets home from her 5 hour drive?

that's on you. If you decide to alter your rates, that's your business decision but don't expect anyone you've already made an appointment with to check your site everyday just to make sure rates haven't changed. Whatever the rate was when the appointment was made, is what our agreement was for.
Now if you decide our previous agreement is no longer valid, then its incumbent upon you to let your clients know this before meeting by contacting them back in whatever has been your mode of contact.
A provider upping rates without notice after an appointment is made, and expecting/requiring the client to pay the higher amount upon meeting, is akin to the client deciding to short the provider. If we can't negotiate rates (which I fully understand), then neither should the provider.
Rate posted, date made, end of story. New rates should apply only to new dates.
Because if it went up, there is no way she could know that you saw the site after you booked. If it went down, pay the higher rate from when you booked because that's the deal you made when you pulled the trigger.
Bottom line, pay the rate from the time you booked.
Thats a good point we dont know if it went up or down.
Simple solution--Send her an email before your meeting and simply verify with her that your meeting is x for y hours. simple as that. She will let you know if something changed. if it is a paltry amount increase and she expects it. Id say just go ahead and pay it. The session will def be a bit awkward if the donation in the envelope is shorter than what she assumed.
Ive offered incentives and changed rates. However Men arent mind readers and arent checking my site every hour on the hour. Therefore I honor them at rate that was in effect at the time of our confirmation of the meeting.
what happened. You booked at X and now she charges Y.
If you go into a men's store and the price on a suit says $200; then, you take the suit to the sales person to pay for it and now it costs $250. What do you do?
