What are you planning to get your wife for Christmas ? I am too lazy to shop. I just give my wife cash for Christmas. One of those things when you hobby so much, lol.

A gift certificate for a male provider

My wife wants a GPS for her car. Now I'm going to have to always check to make sure she hasn't hidden it in mine (LOL).

You are too lazy to put an ounce of thought into a gift for a woman who loves you?! huh?
I hear all the time that wives dont want sex any more. Part of it is because of health issues but a lot of times it is because of things like this. Cash for your wife is not good at all. If I was married and my husband gave me cash I would be pissed. She can have your $ as it is, why would she want it for a gift? Shes not an escort.
Thats part of the reason wives dont want to give husband nookie any more, what happened to the thoughtful romantic things you did for her before you got married? Why dont you take her away for a weekend and wine and dine her, make her feel special again. I dont know what city you reside but theres gotta be something she enjoys...broadway shows, spa package, etc. Driving to a nice day spa and buying a gift certificate for a day of pampering is pretty easy and it will make her feel good.
If you dont put effort into making a woman feel desirable she wont put effort into making you feel like a MAN.
Save your cash for us  : )  Lol

I hand her a plain unsealed envelope.

Ok ok, I will buy her one nice gift, and allow her to buy a second gift of her choice, on me.

She gives me a list.  I buy her everything on it, plus one surprise (usually insignificant in cost).  I tell her one or two things I want, and she struggles to find nice things for me.

Then we videotape the entire event (PG rated, sorry) so that we can relive the event at some undisclosed time.  As yet, we haven't.

Does she normally during the course of the year have no cash at all and this is a special and significant gift? Does she long for the feeling of cash in hand? Talks about it ??
Come on you can do better than that really it takes about.001% the number of minutes as you spend looking at other womens profiles a week. It is only once a year get the girl a gift and make her think you care even if you don't ,just once what do you have to loose? A fur coat works they are all on super sale right now you can get one for about 75% less than this time last year and it will last for years and years to come . In fact if someone normally spends 250 a year on a coat and you get her a fur and not another coat following she will spend the same money keeping warm as she would buying a new wool coat each year that does not keep her at all warm at the end of the years it takes to wear it out . Longterm it is cheaper or the same depending on what you spend..Or if you are with PETA maybe a dinner out to the local vegitarian resturant .lol Kendall

Just don't buy her what she needs and you are pretty safe.

My wife buys all the clothes and shoes she wants.  Jewelry is an excellent gift, but it's expensive and sooner or later you run out of things to buy. (Diamond, ruby and saphire earrings, etc.)

So far I have given day spa certificates, a years worth of visits by a house cleaner, a vacation, perfume, huge basket of lotions soaps and oils from her favorite store and a fur coat.

The ladies are right, spend the time in the malls looking for small things she might like. Women love those little things and they show that you actually tried rather than just gave her money. I've had sucess with leather gloves, scarves, sunglasses, and picture frames.

If she has a favorite wine or restaurant get that. Doing stuff together is romantic, assuming she doesn't hate your guts. Then a week away from you might be best. (Don't laugh, I used to live with a woman the seemed to hate my guts on a weekly basis.)
