Hello!
I have been "conflicted" as to whether I should get new photos taken or not. You see, quiet as it's kept, I'm not the most photogenic girl on the planet :0( (the tragedy of it all) I'm always told that I look much prettier in person. Paying for new pictures seems like a waste of money.
I've heard about providers with inaccurate photos, old photos, stock photography, professionally "airbrushed" photos...phew! lol! There seems to be so many ways to go.
Here is the question...
1. Gentlemen, How do you feel about photos? How important are they to your selection process on a scale of 1 to 10?
2. Are "professional" photos better than "home-made" ones?
3. If the photo of the provider is not accurate what do you do?
4. If the provider does not look like her photos are you disappointed? How far "off" in accuracy is acceptable? (10% off, 40% off?)
5. Are nude photos better than lingerie photos?
6. Does "Taste" matter to you (ie: "crotch shot" vs tastefully nude or topless)
7. Are "old" photos acceptable as long as they are accurate?
And any other photo related issues you'd like to bring up :0)

I actually prefer home shot photos as opposed to professional. They are much less likely to be retouched and less likely to have had professional makeup done, thus more realistic.
A full body shot, both front and profile is a good idea so that we can get an idea of your measurements. Clothed shots are okay no everyone is comfortable with nude photos. Just don't wear too concealing an outfit. If there are parts of your body that are continually covered by masses of cloth we will suspect something is amiss.
I'm sure this is true for all provider websites---the pictures page is very very important. My webmaster shows me the monthly stats on my site--first in number of hits is the home page, next is the gallery, third is the rates page.
From talking with clients, guys will want to see the whole you, so don't just have a bunch of head shots. You'll need whole body shots showing as much skin as you are comfortable showing. If your rear end is acceptable, show that too, (wearing a thong, sexy lingerie or bathing suit).
When my website first opened, I didn't know to have any shots of my "posterior", LOL. I had a ton of requests for such pictures....so now I always make sure there is one or two present whenever when I update the pics.
However, if a provider's rear isn't the most attractive, I'd tell her not to show it--that could be an automatic turn-off.
Good points. I want to see enough of the face to have some idea of what you look like, for me please no bever shots, I want to be surprized with that, but if you have good boobs and a great ass make sure we can tell. I don't care if the photo is 10 years old if you look within 20% the same. How's that for your per-centage question.
1. How do you feel about photos? How important are they to your selection process on a scale of 1 to 10?
ANSWER: 9 or 10 if the lady has few reviews. 6 or 7 if she has many positive reviews. But even with great reviews, it's still nice to have some idea of who you're going to visit.
2. Are "professional" photos better than "home-made" ones?
ANSWER: Personally, I prefer "home-made." It seems more human to me, plus in my experience there's less chance of bait-n-switch with the non-professional shots. Some gals look too good to be true, and if they're not reviewed I skip over them.
3. If the photo of the provider is not accurate what do you do?
ANSWER: I usually give the girl the benefit of the doubt. Once I realized the pic was her -- but it had to be from about 10 years earlier. However I still stuck around. Another time, she was definitely NOT the gal in the photo, and although she was cute, I was miffed at the agency for bait-n-switch so I left on principle. The first time I'd given the agency the benefit of the doubt, the second time really irritated me.
4. If the provider does not look like her photos are you disappointed? How far "off" in accuracy is acceptable? (10% off, 40% off?)
ANSWER: I'm flexible. The important thing is A) that she is indeed the gal in the photo, and B) attitude is everything. If she's friendly and bubbly, then I'd be inclined to stay. If I get the feeling she's just in it for the $$$, then I'd probably bolt.
5. Are nude photos better than lingerie photos?
ANSWER: I'm a breast man, so I'm partial to cleavage or topless.
6. Does "Taste" matter to you (ie: "crotch shot" vs tastefully nude or topless)
ANSWER: Crotch shot does NOTHING for me. I prefer tastefully nude or topless.
7. Are "old" photos acceptable as long as they are accurate?
ANSWER: Yes. But anything over 5 years is pushing it ...

COMMENT: Don't be afraid to show yourself. Hiding minor imperfections (such as a chubby butt or loose belly) with a towel or scarf is the provider equivalent of a bald dude's comb-over. It's better to let a fellow know what he's getting into than having both of you waste each other's time with deceptions.
Relky, you've pretty much summed up my opion. IMHO nicely written.

Hello Sable...........
I just wanted to respond even though you were looking for answers to your questions from the mens perspective... I hope you don`t mind!!! I think that you should take "new pic`s"... why not??? You don`t have to use them if you don`t like them BUT you can have fun doing them!!!
I think that you are photogenic and "thinking" that you are not may or may not show through your pic`s!!! Your pic`s that you have right now are great and you come out "warm" and "friendly" in them... *wink*... as well as your website!!!
You seem to be very classy and very articulate and just do pic`s that show your personality and have FUN with it... experiment and enjoy!!! Me personally... I don`t like professional photos done or a makeup artist... the ole` disposable camera works just fine and if ya want to go "high tech"... the digital camera... lol!!! I would love to volunteer my time and take pic`s of you if you choose to... it would be fun!!! Just a friendly note from one companion to another...
Love, peace and joy to ALL.......
Tia!!! xoxo
The first element in choosing a provider is reviews. She needs to be well reviiewed with some consistency. It's nice to know one or more of the prior reviewers, but not essential. The next important element I would guess are the photos.
I'm not interested in anything pornographic on a provider site -- no need to see her going down on another guy. If I read the review I already know that.
Photos should be recent. To state a poor analogy: You wouldn't purchase a 2003 Jaguar based on a photo of a 1993 Jag. Photos should be as recent as perhaps 2 years. There s a positive effect of this honesty: You don't get reviews that lower your performance score because some guy says something like "She was great, but I couldn't get past the fact that she looked 15 years older than her pix". I've seen many reviews of this type on TER and other boards.
I like to see a full body photo, dressed in business-like attire (a dress that doesn't cover everything but her ankles). A full front shot as well as one from the side would be nice. Then photos of her in a swim suit or lingerie are OK, and perhaps a topless shot. That's all.
BTW, the worst "topless" shots are photos where the provider has cut the photo off at the neckline to preserve her "anonymity". I much prefer a blurred face for this purpose, although I do, of course, prefer to see the provider's face. But I do respect her wish for anonymity.
Just my .02

1. Gentlemen, How do you feel about photos? How important are they to your selection process on a scale of 1 to 10?
10, extremely important
2. Are "professional" photos better than "home-made" ones?
No, I actually prefer the amateur photo's
3. If the photo of the provider is not accurate what do you do?
If the woman is as good looking or better than the photo, I may stay, but I feel as though I've been ripped off, and will definitely post about the photos not being her.
4. If the provider does not look like her photos are you disappointed? How far "off" in accuracy is acceptable? (10% off, 40% off?)
Yes, 0%
5. Are nude photos better than lingerie photos?
Yes
6. Does "Taste" matter to you (ie: "crotch shot" vs tastefully nude or topless)
I like them all.
7. Are "old" photos acceptable as long as they are accurate?
Yes, as long as you're honest about it.
I won't visit someone that doesn't have any photo's, so if they are not accurate when she arrives, it sets the tone for the whole session.
I'm having my webmaster work periodically on my website's gallery and I had a professional session as well as some time with a couple of friends. This input is excellent from the ladies and the men! Critiques most welcome!

1. Gentlemen, How do you feel about photos? How important are they to your selection process on a scale of 1 to 10?
11!!!!
2. Are "professional" photos better than "home-made" ones?
Professional photos are fine but throw in a couple candids so we know its not all make-up and airbrushing.
3. If the photo of the provider is not accurate what do you do?
Get really really pissed.
4. If the provider does not look like her photos are you disappointed? How far "off" in accuracy is acceptable? (10% off, 40% off?)
Absolutely. 5-10% is the most acceptable but even then I'll downgrade the review.
5. Are nude photos better than lingerie photos?
Nude
6. Does "Taste" matter to you (ie: "crotch shot" vs tastefully nude or topless).
Prefer brazilian, and I do believe you can still be tastefull but nude. Difference between Playboy and Hustler.
7. Are "old" photos acceptable as long as they are accurate?
If they are OLD they won't be accurate unless you absolutely do not age at all.
And any other photo related issues you'd like to bring up :0)
i am sorry I am very attracted to faces. All these blurred out or cropped out faces really worry me. If after I have been thoroughly screened maybe you could send me a face shot so I know that you're pretty? Maybe some guys are strictly looking for a nice butt and breasts but some of us also need a good face too. My hobbying maxim: thou must not pay for that which can be gotten at home for free.
Ya know ya gotta be atleast as pretty as my wife or I'm wasting my time!
i would like to see photos of what you look like when we get together. Some of the ladies I have seen have great photos, but when you get together, their hair is not done nicely, like in the photos, and they were a lot more made up in the pictures.
I agree don't cut off your heads, blur the faces if you like. And be real..show us whom we are likely to meet. We guys are not all male models...we are not expecting all barbies...
