Not sure if this is the right board for this but I figured guys on here might have some insight about this. About a month ago I started using rogaine for thinning on the top of my head. I didn't notice any side effects until this weekend I am starting to feel like it is effecting my erections. Making them more difficult to attain or weaker.
These symptoms just started the last couple of days and before this definitely no problems. Has anyone else had this side effect from using Rogaine? I am using the 5% foam twice a day as described. I must add that I was rather sick with food poisoning this last saturday so maybe that is effecting it, I just wanted to see if anybody had any experience with this. Any advice would be great thanks.

I've been using Rogaine since about 1985 and it's the only reason I still have any hair on the Big Head. I've never had or heard of the side effect you mention but it should be easy to read the available material on known side effects. Also check minoxidil, which is the generic name for Rogaine and is much cheaper. What I do know is that minoxidil, originally created to treat hypertension, is a vaso-dilator, meaning it opens up veins and capilaries to enhance blood flow. So you'd assume it would have the opposite effect to limp-dick-itis. Also, I take lisinopril for high blood pressure and it's had no effect on my continually raging hard-on. If I were you I'd forget about it.
I am not a Dr. but I played one in an off-broadway show about 10 years ago. While drugs impact all of us differently, I am aware that some men have reported symptoms of ED after taking Rogaine. Checking the PDR, there's no conclusive evidence that Rogaine or any of the hair restoration products cause ED in particular. I've also read where one man reported that he lost two inches off his erection. I didn't quite know what to make of that, but I'll take him at his word. Like any medications, one has to assess overall health to know if one thing is causing the next. In the case of ED, it happens to all men for all types of reasons. Should you continue to have symptoms of ED, discontinue it for a week or two and schedule a few sessions in the meantime. If it works properly again, you might be onto something. Also, remember, putting anything on your big head might cause your little head to think twice. Also, there are other ways to put hair back on the dome that are less intrusive to your wanker.
Thanks for everyones advice. Yeah from all of the official literature I have read it isn't listed as any kind of side effect. Only for propecia. Its just that in my searching I have come across enough panicky posts about people having the same problem to get me anxious about it, which of course is never helpful haha. Thankfully everyone one on here seems x10 more level headed than the internet at large.
Anyway as far as my general health I am 33, i good shape, exercise regularly and eat well. I have never had a problem like this before except for a small time when i took Celexa but that is a known side effect which cleared up after discontinuing use. I guess I will see how it goes for the next week or two and see a doctor in the mean time. I have some civvy dates coming up soon and it would suck for this to be an issue but I guess there is really no good time for this kind of thing to happen.
