I recently tried to post a review.  When I hit submit, I got a response that certain fields were not filled out when they in fact were filled out.  I sent an email to support, but never got a reply.

Also some required fields don't make a lot of sense, like provider's second phone number.  What if there is only one?

Any advice?

The second phone number, for example, is optional, as are a number of other fields.  I think the optional fileds are denoted with an asterick. Or highlighted. Or is it the required fileds?  No matter, just take your time and look closely, it will generaly become clear what's missing.

One thing I often foul up and forget to fill in is the field labelled "location."  Responses here are things like "upscale hotel," "my apartment,"  "condo in The Loop,"  "Sutton Place townhouse," "767 restroom," "fleabag hot-sheet motel"  and suchlke.

Be grateful you do not have the ever=popular "bad website address" problem holding up your review.  I have a review being held up for just that reason.

Keep working on it, keep on TER and usually these problems are resolved.  Eventually.

Good luck to you.

You have to be persistent to get through all the fields and be sure to review your review before submitting. The biggest frustration is when a review is rejected, when you edit it you must complete every stinking field again except the verbiage at the bottom. This is silly and leads to more rejections. I'm stuck in review hell right now with one that has a bad web site but I can click on the web site from the review itself just fine. Go figure! While I'm on it, how can they reject mine for bad web sites and then post so many new reviews that have no web site at all? I'm sure there is a good reason, I just dont understand. Some of this is frustrating but I still like this site! Best one I've found anyway.

and when you have written a few more I think you will find that the process will become a a little less tedious. Don't give up ... the combined reviews are what make this Board an excellent resource and we all have do our part.

I think that the TER management makes posting a review a big PITA in order to seperate out those hobbyists who would casually toss off a poorly thought out review from those who are more serious and invested enough time and energy to write a valuable review.

I think they have a good point in doing so.  I have seen some sites where all you need to do to leave a review is click a box, write a few lines, and then click another box.

It is sure convienient and simple, but the quality of the reviews is very poor.

My feeling is, if I have to go through the gauntlet that TER has set up to leave a review, I am at least going to be sure it is something that was worth the effort.

The mistake I was apparently making was the one cumbucket pointed out.  I was not filling in location.  I assumed it was not necessary, as the city was already there, as was in and outcall.  But I put in my hotel for location and the review went through.

Some fields are highlighted, others starred, and others, like location, are neither.  There does not seem to be a correlation between what must be filled in and highlighting or starring.  Strange.

Anyway, thanks again.
