and yes i know i should have put it on the legal corner but figured this one is viewed more..thus better answers.

anyway how could an LE bust you on an outcall to your hotel or home?  it's not like they can set up shop ahead of time and if the girl was wired you would know something was up when she tried to get you to say something stupid.

but if you have,please post!
You always go to them for the sting.
They need to control the environment.
They aren't afraid of the girls who work so they will bust girls. If someone has given up a girl to LE because they were a coward who wouldn't use the 5th amendment and walk away, then you could have the door knocked down and be caught red handed at an incall.
If it is a group of ladies then if one has a drug problem and she gets caught then she will give up the other people to save her own j**ky ***re a**.

Just give your lady friend a big kiss on the mouth first thing and you'll be fine.
No kiss-no date is a very good rule. Hug the body and feel for weapons and a wire.

How are you going to know she is wired? If she is a cop she isn't going to be taking anything off. Also, I wouldn't hang my hat on your ability to determine what that "something stupid" would have to be.

The bottom line is that if LE shows up in your hotel room you are going downtown.  Arrests are all that matter to the cops. Convictions are another story of course but the arrest alone could ruin your life...

The best way to avoid LE is to stick with well reviewed and established ladies.

Your scenario is rare and should not be worried about. First police will hardly do an outcall for a bust because they cannot control the environment in your home or a hotel room not previously arranged.  The other posters are correct, the police goal is arrest and a plea, they would hate to fill up court dockets with simple solicitation charges.  Most will plea to simple charges like disorderly conduct, which amounts to a traffic ticket and be expunged after the probation period.

I don't know which jurisdiction you are referring to when you say your arrest record will be expunged after you complete probation.  If you are booked, meaning your are fingerprinted and photographed, your information is automatically forwarded via computer to the FBI data base in Morgantown, WV and the state criminal data base where you were booked. Once that information enters the National and concerned state data base it remains there forever.

The only way that information is not captured by the National and state data base is if you are simply cited and released without being booked. That has to happen when you are arrested by LE, not when you go to court.  Every jurisdiction is different so what applies in one area most likely will not apply in another.

If you are arrested in a sting in the City of LA and you have valid ID, have no outstanding warrants and are not on probation or parole, then LE will cite you to a rehab program. If you attend the classes and are not arrested for a two year period, the record of your arrest is destroyed. The reason they can destroy the record is because the information kept in the police record bureau and is never forwarded to the court.

Ventura County borders part of the City of LA but the Ventura County DA requires jail time as part of any plea bargain.  Everyone gets booked so every arrest is forwarded to the court, and the information ends up in the National and state data bases.

Same crime, same state, but two completely different ways of enforcing the law. BTW, LAPD claims their repeat offender rate has decreased since they went to the "Catch and release program."

You are correct it depends on the jursisdiction but the FBI database means nothing because I am in the same system and never been arrested.  When I was in the military, I applied for a security clearance and was finger printed.  Its sent to the same clearinghouse I believe and is kept om file.  I might be wrong but I was advised of the fact before I was fingerprinted.

Having said that, when I worked for a recruiting battallion, judges would regular expunged misdameaners or simple felony convictions so they can join the Army.

I had at least three arrests (though none resulted in a conviction) in the 1960's.

Since then I've had dozens of big time companies run security checks on me and at least one federal agency (Fed Bureau of Prisons no less) as well as several state agencies.

Never did any of the previous arrests ever impede my ability to get the clearances I needed.

Sir, prostitution is a crime in all states save for few states with localities that permit you to pay and leave with no penalty. You can't make rational that which is irrational. Laws are there for bozos like Spitzer to break and eventually get caught in a web of his own BS. Just don't get caught.
