Well, let's just say some people are very schooled in the law and in the practice there of.
One should consider Dr Who revived and his advice as it is very prudent indeed.
This is a funny post for those who know. Some people legally trained have seen foolish people actually believe some of this nonsense. We have all heard it. In the following hypothetical consider: "Are you a cop" or, someone told me the IRS can't do this or that." Or "my friend said this or that was legal." The problem was the "my friend" giving the advice was in jail right next to him.
A better use of one's time might be to work and create higher incomes than take all this time over silly unlawful tax deductions. Ask Wesley Snipes whether or not he would take on the IRS again.  His case involved major money.  Here, where the deduction could be a tiny, yet unlawful, tax savings, some would suggest DON"T DO IT.  Sun Tzu, in the Art of War warned,(Paraphrased) "If you don't know your enemy and you don't know yourself, you will always be slaughtered.
Some are acutely aware that many will disregard Dr. Who Revived's input. That makes for good business in some professions. my 2 cent

So I'm pulling together my financial records to send to my accountant so he can prepare my tax return, and it just occurred to me that even though I made thousands of dollars in donations to dozens of providers last year, I didn't receive a tax receipt from a single one.  How am I going to take a deduction for them now?

to any items that you donate? That can get pretty high for some.

donations to individuals aren't deductible.

You go to a provider and ask for tax receipt. I am sure all of them will be happy to help you with this and you'll make lots of appointments. xo

LMFAO I doubt that will happen. The providers will lagh at the hobbyist. I would!! And I'd tell him to get his head checked.

and would always wonder, "What did they do with my donation?"

I no longer have to wonder where my donation goes because now I contribute to the many "Women Who Get Naked" charities.

In return, I receive much more than a piece of paper indicating the fact that I have "donated".

I'm allowed to take the oil depletion allowance

anything under about $13k total per person they won't be taxed on.
