If your spouse don't get you the government will.

My bags are packed to get to Gitmo.

who want to murder every last one of us because we don't believe in their ugly fuck of a god.
And plenty of them are here right now waiting to strike.  Grow up a bit and face this ugly reality.  Do we really owe them an unhampered means of communication so they can plan to kill us?  Security always is a trade-off with personal freedom.  Plenty of Americans are alive today because the NSA surveillance programs foiled terror plots.  Eventually the homicide bombers will strike successfully in the US. Its a simple matter of probability.  When they do, will you guys be bitching about the government not "doing enough"?  And the Gitmo talk is pure moonbat stuff.  You make yourself sound silly.

If you think this whole spying on Americans deal is just to catch Osama's buddies, you are wrong.

It's to keep us in line and surrender our freedoms one by one.

Shortly after 911 there were plenty of reports that an FBI field agent tried to put the clamps on one of the 911 hijackers only to be told to mind your business.

She didn't need to read my emails to find out.

911 would have never happened if the government paid a little more attention to its knitting.

The government does whatever it can do to stifle it's citizens, it's the citizens' job to push back while you can.

I we wait much longer, we won't be able to even do that.

And, no, I'm not a Michigan milita member, just a constant observer of the political spectrum.

Sometimes the conspiracy theories seem plausible....

think about it,
not enforcing immigration and protecting the borders.
stupid airport screens that make no sense whatsoever...  instead of really screening those most likely to be terrorists...
global military engagement to the breaking point of our military... as some would say, fight smarter, not more fronts....
an increased dependance on foreign oil, most held by those that I am not sure are exactly our friends
little if any attention to the development of alternative fuel sources...

yea... lots to do, and what do we have?  A room full of computers and geeks, listening in...  yea, that's gonna help.

governments ALWAYS seek more power. Not because they are evil, but because they want to be able to do their jobs easier. However, the power of government can only be increased at the expense of the citizens. As the saying goes, "Those who would give up their freedom in exchange for safety deserve neither".
