Greetings all,
I booked an overnight with magazine model, not one the high priced glam mags, more of a specialty mag for boob lovers. I sent a deposit on Monday for a Saturday afternoon arrival, along with confirmation numbers and all that stuff for the flight. On Friday, I give her a call to make sure everything is still on the up and up, and she says she needs more money as she is about to evicted, could I help her out and send a little bit more. Being a complete moron, I agreed being the silly season and all and I figured if she was looking for somewhere to live how could she possibly make a flight on Saturday. I sent the money, she called when she got and was very gracious, and seemed like she was really excited about flying to meet me. Then on Saturday morning I called to make sure everything was still a go before I made hotel reservations and drove to the airport city. I got the feeling from the phone call that she wasn't planning on coming, and she was just milking me to get what she could. Anyway, low and behold, the weather got a little bit snowy up there, and she stopped answering her phone for about 3 hours. I finally got her to answer a text message 5 minutes before her flight was to take off, and it said she was snowed in and wouldn't be able to make it. I honestly don't feel she had any intention of coming, but what is one to do. I called the airline, and was able to get a refund on the return flight, cancelled the flight she was about to miss, but now I am out all the money I have already sent her. I talked to her this morning and she said she would be willing to come next weekend, but I can't do to Xmas plans, but I really don't think she will come in two weeks. And as for a refund, is she needed rent money, there is no way in hell I am ever gonna see a penny of my money back if she doesn't come here, so what am I to do. Book another flight for her? Chalk this one up as a loss? I am lost, any suggestions on what my next course of action should be. I know the weather could have played a role, but I think it was just an excuse. Please help. Sadly you may have to chalk it up to a loss. I had a similiar situation a few years ago with a SP that I had seen for awhile. She agreed to a trip to Vegas. I paid her in advance for the trip on a Sunday and we were to leave that coming Saturday. She went on the trip, but had breast implaint surgery on the Monday before we left and did not say anything. long story short I ended up a nurse maid in Vegas for 2 days and came back more horny then when I left.

I personally think that when a SP is traveling that all they should expect is the flight and hotel to be covered in advance. At least they can confirm that and you can get something back if they bail on you. To blindly send cash just leaves open to much room for error.

I am still "wet behind the ears" new to all this. I have heard so many bad things about deposits that I really doubt there would be any reason I would ever do it myself.

I am sorry to hear you have to take a loss on this situation. I would just chalk it up to human nature and learn not to send a deposit to anyone again. I have always felt the old saying "a lock keeps an honest man honest" is pretty true to everyone. Given a situation where "free money" was given to someone, then on top of it even more "free money" it was almost predictable that there was going to be nothing given in return.

If you feel you really want to pursue another meeting with her you might want to suggest she get the flight and come to you, once there you can reimburse her. That way she has to show trust in you that you showed in her the first time.

Sorry to hear your story but crazy things happen all the time, so TER is a place to exchange info on our experience. I've been experienced this situation in the past a couple times w/ a Vegas provider and what a tough way to live and learn. Chalk it up as an expensive hobbying lesson. I was out about $3k on this gal. She then moved to the Rockies and traveled around in the Midwest and NO areas.

Could you provide more information on your ordeal? just general info like the city at your place or what city she is from, or how did she receive her advanced fee, and you don't need to give no specific details if you don't want.

I'd give her one more chance to make good. Schedule something in advance that is mutually convenient. Let her know in advance that you will be posting a review show or no-show.

Regarding airfare: Like balathazar said, since you have given her enough in advance, she buys the ticket, and you reimburse her when she arrives.

first mistake, sweetheart. If you'd planned this with the legendary "well-reviewed TER provider," your chances for success would have been greatly enhanced.

From what you wrote, it sounds as if this lady had little to lose by standing you up.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but it really doesn't speak to the general issue of deposits (necessary to obtain the services of a trustworthy escort for travel) or the trustworthiness of escorts in general.

I would give her one more chance to make good but DO NOT send her another dime! Frankly I think you are screwed here and not in a good way. I don't blame anyone for trying to book a fantasy date but there are hundreds of well reviewed and honest ladies out there in all shapes and sizes who want your business and will give you great service with no drama. I would stick with sure things from now on...

You can't write a review but you can talk about your experiences here and on your local board.

The simple answer is that you were rolled.  We've all been there (on both sides of the hobby).
Let it go, move on, and don't forget.

Bad situation.. I have heard several and my first travel experience, for lack of a better termed, SUCKED BADLY.. BTW I am a provider..

I will still travel, I request a very low deposit and my rates are not bank breakers.. Yet I have found that many of the travel offers are very hollow and the requesters are very insecure in dealings.. This could stem from situations such as this and I am sure it does..
It is unfortunate that many providers have bad habits that require lots of cash and make them unreliable and dishonest in their dealings..
This makes it hard on us who are legit and go the extra mile in service.. While I am 'new' to the whole scene I am not 'information challenged'.. Seeing how I dreamed of doing this when I was young...
Fact- Life's lessons are the hardest learned..

There is always a bad apply ....
Maybe she was an exception because she was well-review honest ladies (we had have so many hot times before shit happened) out there in Vegas 2 years ago, or I was unlucky. This one got me twice (see my post above). I chalked her off as expensive lesson and moved on.

For some more details, I sent a $200 deposit on Monday, maybe Tuesday, not exactly sure. Had contact with her all week, and Friday morning she said she needed more money as she was about to be evicted. So I sent her $150 more to cover the amount she was short on her rent. I sent it western union so the fees and all are not even counting towards the price of the session, but that is the least of my worries. I know this isn't a tremendous amount of money, but I work hard for my money and I'll be damned if someone is just gonna con me out of it without a little hassle. I am gonna set up a flight for her on the 29th and see if she will again pull a no show. This will be a totally refundable fare. The departure city for her flight was Kansas City and the arrival city was Little Rock if it makes any difference. Anyway, thanks for all the replies i'll keep you posted on the outcome. And as for a review, it's happening, one way or the other. I don't want somebody else getting one broke off in them. She is reviewed on here, not the best in the business, but not the worst either. We had already discussed everything I had concerns about and all was supposed to be good. thanks again, Poncho from the Rock
