Thanks, I had a Palm. It was awful. Haven't tried any of the others yet. I guess the next one will have to be an Android.

1. What do you think is the best Android phone out there now, or soon to be available?

2. What are your favorite Android apps?

3. What would you like to be available as an Android app (whether they exist elsewhere as apps or not)?

1) I have the Verizon Droid X, and I love love love love it. Flash sites work, qwerty keyboard as well as touch screen, flash for the camera.

2) Oh My fav apps so many of them where do I start.
  a) YELP! If i just cant Yelp it, it just isn't worth it. this app is fraking awesome, find anything you want restaurants, movies, gas stations, it gives you what is nearby you, yeah the droid knows where you are, and when you chose you just hit navigate to and your droid turns into a navigation just like that, easy peasy.
   b) Android Banking, so awesome and handles multiple accounts.
   c) Gmail app, what can I say multi accounts handled in one location.
   d) Bump, transfer info to friends and is compatible with iphone bump app, it is awesome.
   e) Photoshop, just simple things like crop, change lighting add frames and captions to you phone photos.
   f) Audio Books, I love them and it just connects to my Audibles account and woola I have my books.

3) What I would like, to find a good budgeting App that is for those umm Cash based Business. I have found a few but they seem to think every one has a steady income weekly. I want one that I can say when I get cash in what account I put it in and when I spend it and where. I actually pay my taxes every year so this app will help me bunches.

Hope this helps some

Always,
Karrie-

If you're even remotely tech savvy (meaning can follow directions) and consider "rooting" your phone...the Droid is the absolute best. I just rooted mine last week and it is now the most amazing phone possible. Totally customized, faster, now a wireless hotspot, speech-to-text input, Google GPS navigation, and much more.

For a stock phone, the Droid 2 or X, depending on whether or not the camera and screen are that big a deal.

As far as apps, that's really personal choice. I stick to the basic ones.

That lasts for about 5 minutes, but have at it. I am more of a trailing technology type guy, get last year's model cheap so you never have to worry about a next, best phone coming out just after you shell out big bucks for one.

Philosophy aside, switched from BB to Android 6 months ago (HTC Eris from Verizon - quite workable, but nothing Incredible - pun intended), and I ain't going back. Not sure that I love Google taking over the world, but I do love Android.

If you're lucky to be in a city where Sprint/Clear 4G WiMax is available, the EVO rocks!  It's like having a mini computer that fits in your pocket.  Definitely a good choice if you're a data junkie like me ...LOL ...since Sprint includes unlimited 3G/4G data with their service plans.

As for favorite apps... Dolphin HD internet browser (much better than the stock brower), Double Twist (music/media management).  Too many others to list, but you do have to wade though all the crap in the Android Market to find the good ones ...LOL.

I also have an iPhone ...LOL ...and there are a number of good iPhone apps that still aren't available for Android phones.
