Ok so this is a link for an article about Ex-Panther Jason Peter in it he is talking about his drug use , drinking and sexcapades .Give it a quick look. He apparently ran out of providers . One hell of a busy guy .. How does that happen? Has that happened to anyone else? I do not believe i have heard of such an issue .Kendall

I think that you are perhaps reading the comment out of intended context.  Based on the small blurb that I read, it indicates that his madame ran out of escorts.  When I read that it implies to me that he was with all the girls of THAT  particular enterprise at least one time.  I don't think that is such an impossible notion as agencies, especially in smaller towns, certainly have a finite number of ladies working for them.

Keep in mind, the guy pissed through $6.5 million in no time. Trust me it's not only possible, but I am sure it has happened to many other athletes, rock stars, actors and others who found themselves with more money overnight than they knew what to do with.

"Jason, you must be mistaking us for people who care about you. Why don't you take your alcoholic, crack addict, pill popping self away and let the REAL footall players on the field? You are a sorry example of the rest of the alkies, dopers and losers who we read stories about.
Run off now and hide under a rock, I sure don't feel sorry for you and oh by the way people, don't buy his book. Maybe he can get extra money from his junkie friends."

And to think think I'm a Pats Fan! Gee, what am I thinking? lol

To hear of yet another pro athlete blowing through their windfalls on drugs, sex, and all other sorts of vices.  Sounds like a broken record...there are many big name stars with similar tales of woe, in all sports.  When you consider the large entourages of lackeys that accompany many of these dudes, helping and encouraging them spend the $ wrecklessly....I guess they think the $ will never run out, but without good finacial advisers to help curb their excesses and help them to build their wealth to last a lifetime, this tale repeats itself yet again...

I met a financial planner last year at a conference who is intimately familiar with pro football players personal lives.
he told me the following. Within 5 years after leaving pro football 90% of the players will be one of the following..1) Divorced (their hot babe-wives left when the football money stopped)
2) Bankrupt due to bad money management because of all sorts of issues 3) Permently injured and unemployed or all three.
Further he has no interest in trying to help any of these guys. He got tired of having his advise rejected by wives/girlfriends/mistresses(sometimes all three!) or just to have his plan given to the jocks' bother or some inlaw to impliment.
Now here is the kicker..the guy was in the NFL at the time he told me this.

without proper advice anyone who comes into a lot of money at one time in their life and has never had so much of it before feels like it wont run out and spend without thinking.
look at all the winners of the lottery how many of them have any of it left? i dont think many, not even a home some of them.

Two guys who had substantial wealth, and blew a lot of it on their "posse"; keeping friends satisfied by financially being put on their "payroll". (These "friends" were loyal as long as the cash was still flowing, that is.)

"proper advice" you have got to be a financial planner.

Lets ask all the guys with stock portfolios if they had proper advice.

Scarface said it best "people only listen to one thing Frank, thaz balls Frank, ju got balls Frank?"

My point being the best use for your money is to use it to get what you want.

Power. Sex. More Money. But in the end it always comes back to Sex. Doesnt it? What do you need power for? After a certain point what do you need more money for?
