Greetings all,

I'm a 50 y/o who was just discharged after spending 4 days in the hospital having the right side of my colon removed. End of September I had the routine colonoscopy and prostate biopsy (enlarged) done which found a 4cm polyp at the start of my colon. During recovery I developed a UTI from the biopsy which resulted in 3 days in the hospital. During that stay my heart went into V-TACH for unknown reasons. I followed up with a cardio-catheter and heart MRI, which showed no reason for the V-TACH.....cleared for colon surgery. Negative results on the prostate labs.. I’ll have final labs on colon in a couple weeks, but my Doctor is positive on the outlook.  The thought of what could have been is unbearable to think of. 4 days in the hospital and a 6-8 week (we’ll see) layoff doesn’t seem that bad.

In short…….Guys, don’t put off your routine age guided checks, you never know.

To those few that were in the know…..Thanks for your support.

I thought of posting a pic of laparoscopic incisions, but I think you get the idea.

But you are facing these because of

A.. Hobbying too much
B.. Hobbying too little
C.. Unsafe hobbying?
D.. Alien attack?

Which one is it?

Also guys,  Don't forget to check your CREDIT REPORT regularly. Too much identity thefts going on out there....:D

I simply do not go to the doctor.
It is good to be reminded I should.
Good luck, and best wishes.
You have at least 15 more years of good hobby in you! :D

I live near an Army base. Heart treatment was done thru civilian hospital covered by insurance. Total spent.....$12.
