Who are you picking to win, your Final four picks.
Mine is UCLA - North Carolina - Memphis - Georgetown.....With UCLA winning the whole thing.....
My strategy is damage control,I dont pick alot of upsets, especially picking against teams who have the potential to go far. I have had good luck with this system. And I follow the sport all year so I would put my picks up against anyone. What's your strategy???
I also usually pick against my fav team. The way I figure, if they win I am happy even if I lose points on the bracket. And if they lose then at least I have something to be happy about. So even though I think my fav team (Purdue) might get to the final 8, I have them losing in the 2nd round.
How about a TER bracket challenge, all funds won must be spent,of course, on the hobby...lol
Whoa there...you snubbed the Jayhawks! Go KU!
Definatly a talented team.
I just don't know if Bill Self is a Final Four quality coach. Good regular season coach but after losing to Bucknell a few years ago in the 1st round I think he has to prove that he can get to the Final Four before I can pick them.
He has gotten them to the Final Four. He just hasn't managed to win the Championship yet.
I wouldn't noramlly doubt a fan of a team making a claim like that, but are you sure about that???
I think the last time Kansas went to the Final Four it was Roy Williams who was the coach.
I'm still recovering from losing 10 bucks on the Super Bowl, so I'll have to sit this one out *sniff*.
I definitely endorse that last idea though! ;D
Final 4 is UNC, Georgetown, Texas, & UCLA with Carolina over UCLA 76-68 for the trophy.
I too think UNC will be hard to beat this year ![]()
Louisville, Kansas, Texas, UCLA
Sorry, can't pick against my team. Go Cards!
I guess I have spent too much time online. I saw the word "Picks" and thought it was a typo!
kansas, tenn, ucla, tex...
ucla wins it all (cause florida isn't there to knock them out again)
ucla 66-kansas 59
My final 4: Louisville, Georgetown, Memphis and UCLA, with UCLA beating Louisville in the finals.
No strategies needed, the tournament is a complete crap shoot. If you just picked all the favorites to win, you'd prob. do just as well as the college basketball junkie who watched every game... But the unpredictability is both the beauty and frustration of March Madness!

because I always get knocked out early.
I am gonna sit on the sidelines and root for my alma mater.....
U...rah-rah-rah....C...rah-rah-rah...L...rah-rah-rah...A...rah-rah-rah
And yes, I went there during our 10 out of 12 Wooden run. Think that will ever happen again?
I'm hoping my Heels won't let me down, but my gut and my wallet say they will. So my picks are Louisville, Kansas, Texas & UCLA, with Kansas thumping UCLA for the title.
FWIW, I actually have the Heels bowing out to Indiana in the 2nd round. This was some of the WORST seeding I've ever seen. UNC gets the top overall seed. Stands to reason they should have the least impressive 8-9 winner, right? Yet they put them up against the best overall team in the Big Ten (yeah, I know that conference is always overrated, but IU has Top 10 talent) and a strong team from the SEC. All the other 8-9 matchups are cakewalks. Then, you had to figure that Tennessee was considered the top #2 seed, so where did they put them? Boy, I would've loved to have seen Dook or G'Town as the #2 instead of Tennessee. Of course, as you read above I actually have our #3 seed, Louisville advancing to the FF. Not hard to figure, which bracket got loaded with the heavyweights. Finally, just so I'm on the record, I have WVa & Pitt both in the Elite Eight. Pitt loses a squeaker to Texas (after upsetting Memphis) and the Mountaineers get shafted by UCLA on some dubious officiating (UCLA's formula for success lately).
When it's all said & done, I'll report back on how much I've $$$$$ won $$$$$$$ (hey gotta fund the hobby some way)!
...I can say that I didn't fare so well in my brackets, even though I had Dook and G'town losing in the 2nd round, and both Kansas and UCLA in the Final Four. Not to mention, correctly picking Kansas to cut down the nets. However that was small change, and part of the reason I took the beating was b/c I hedged against my Tar Heels. So, I was happy that I was wrong and that my Heels made it to San Antonio. Since I'd already placed a sizable bet on Kansas to win it all, I capitalized on my gut again and got some more good action (along with nice odds) that KU would beat UNC in the Final Four. I truly was hoping that I'd lose that bet, b/c it would've been worth it if UNC had won the tourney. So, I won nicely on those two bets. However, stupid me placed another small bet on Monday that Memphis would win. Since, this was one of the teams that had screwed my brackets to Hell, and I was mightily impressed by their play of late, I figured that I should capitalize on them, since I felt (on that day) that they were going to win it. Thankfully, my winnings on having picked Kansas at the very start, and then again b4 their FF showdown with Carolina, was more than the money I lost on Memphis and on my brackets. I've not yet received my dough yet, nor done the math to figure it all out exactly. But, it'll go into my "hobby stash" along with the bucks that I win at poker this Sat. I have a multi-hour appt. on Mon. with one of my ATF's, so it's good to have some "hobby ca$h" coming in right B4 some goes out.
