A silly post just to break the monotony.

Last week I bought the HD set of Miami Vice, the series.  Cold right now in the Great Lakes.

I was in my mid 20's when the show premiered.

Very ground breaking for the time.  First show to have a sound track, fashion trend setting, and gave several actors first exposure to a national audience (Bruce Willis for example).

Being the horn dog that I am, the show was also the first to but out Tits and Ass as a serious visual.  Tiny bikini's, spandex work out apparel, natural tits and tight asses.

My imagination cannot help but take me back to the days of tan lines, trimmed bush during the summer, and materialism.  One thing the show is really bad at is misogyny.  With Don Johnson, what would one expect?

Any thoughts please share.  Just thought I would reminisce for the older folks on this board.

When watching pool scenes, I cannot help but wonder how the ladies in the images look now, well into their 50's.

Have a great day.

I wasn't watching much television while overseas, and back then, US network programming was broadcast a week after originally appearing stateside (especially NFL games, very frustrating), so I wasn't really aware of Miami Vice.
When I returned to the states, I wasn't a regular watcher until the last season, so by then it was just a passing fancy to me.  I loved the way the music tied into MTv and vice versa, especially anything to do with Phil Collins.

And Michael Mann went on to make some good movies as well.
.
The musician guest stars were always fun. Zappa, Phil Collins, Glen Frey, Miles Davis, Ted Nugent.
.
Silly sometimes, but I'll still like to watch an episode on the NBC site once in awhile.
