I've seen plenty of fakes and scammers on Eros as well, and have even pointed out several (and been the victim of one, which was totally my fault for not vetting properly and letting the little head make the decisions).  I just feel, and this is totally my own opinion, that you stand a much greater chance than most of being ripped off from a BP girl.  This is undoubtedly due in no small part to the sheer volume of ads there (are they free?).  No matter where you look, though, I think we all agree that the key to not being ripped off is verify, verify, verify.

As for myself, I seem to be on something of a self-imposed crusade to uncover and keep track of scammers (both genetic female and transsexual) in the Detroit area.  One in particular seems to change her names and photos on a weekly basis (she has several ads on Eros and Backpage), and has disabled the rating function on her Eros ads... after I deliberately 1-voted both of them to warn others (which sticks on the margin photos even if they're disabled).  I concentrate mainly on Eros, though, because going through the BP ads would be a lifetime job...

You need to move to the NY metro area.  Pussy Heaven!  Still, we have BP here, too, though maybe it's going away.  It's useful only for those touring providers whose reviews are also on TER.  As someone said earlier, without a TER link I wouldn't touch a BP girl with YOUR dick.

My first experience since coming back to the hobby was from the BP. Two actually. The first was a rip-off scam in which I was told, at the last minute, that "her boyfriend" would be coming down to collect the money before I came upstairs in her apartment building {which obviously wasn’t her’s}. Some guy comes down the stairs acting very friendly and asks for the "contribution." I asked, "This is your girlfriend?" "Sure," he said. Too casual for what looked like a college kid to me. Then he turned to me on the stairs and told me I had to give him the money before I saw her. That's when I turned heels and got out of there pronto. They didn't call back.

I was so pissed off, I called another BP number that looked legit and I got lucky. Not a GFE, but a real, live, really pretty blonde who confessed to being new the hobby and to the Boston area. Incall was a motel/suites establishment. Well lit, clean, etc. She told me she wasn’t sticking around too long, and she did, in fact, leave town two days later. I *think* she was from Minnesota.

Looking back, I think I got very lucky, A} by not getting robbed and hurt/killed during the first one, and B} meeting young Holly on the second one safely.
