Can a marriage survive after your wife finds out you have been unfaithful?

My wife pretty much knows intuitively, thinks she is seeing all the warning signs, and just doesn't have the proof yet.  My it is frosty here!

My wife caught me twice, and then sort of conceded that I wasn't ever going to reform, so she put up with my hobbying as long as everything was OK on the home front.

She tried her hand at dating on the internet and found some fuck buddies too.

After a while, I guess she got tired of it and decided to cash out via the divorce route leaving me a bit broke but happier after all.

It requires a lot, but is possible.

a) do you really want to be married if you are doing this? Because to fix the damage cheating does- is a lot of effort, time and commitment, and probably have to be willing to have it thrown in your face a few times before you are really forgiven by her.

2) were you caught in an affair- or with the hobby?  If its hobby related, you may be able to go with the angle of pure physical, but your love was still with her.  An affair, that is more personal and intimate in my eyes, so that would be a bitter pit to swallow.

The real question is would you want it to - survive I mean?  Because once you have been caught it is going to be brought up in every serious argument.  Consider that future...

I have not been caught (yet), but I must say the single life is sounding better and better.
