Thanks so very much for sharing. Unfortunately, I missed the lunar eclipse. I did go to Aruba about 9 years ago for a total solar eclipse; it was an absolutely amazing event to experience; took my breath away.
I know this is irrelevant to sex and the hobby- but it's likely the first time I've posted something irrelevant on here, so please don't be mad. I posted it on P&R but I wanted to share it w/ all of you who may not frequent the other boards..
I saw the eclipse, but wanted to share this with those of you who missed it or those who just want to re-experience it (not quite the same, but still worth watching) Most of us are so unaware of these things in our daily lives, but in my opinion the power and beauty of the universe and the natural forces around us are something that we should be in awe of and aware of every second of our existence. Call me a hippie, lol, but it's things like this that make it all worthwhile.
Thanks! This is great and the music is awesome! There are so many things we have to deal with (but I won't go into that) - overall it is knowing for some of us - we are connected to the universe of life in a different way! Thanks again and remember every once in a while to take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes!
There was a total solar eclipse in 1999. It was going to be visible from part of the UK and I got so excited about the possibility of seeing such an amazing thing.
I then went on a NASA website and realised that the chances of seeing it from England weren't that good as it would likely be cloudy. I did the research and found out the place with the best chance of seeing it was a desert region of Iran. So I went on holiday to Iran and had such an amazing experience. I totally understand how you are blown away about seeing an eclipse. I actually wept tears of joy afterwards. It was such a moving experience.

I watched the eclipse the other day. I was sitting in my yard and as it progressed, I was thinking about what people were thinking about it, 500, 1000, 10,000 years ago.
I could see how they were terrified of the event. The moon just disappearing and then reappearing... how scary would that have been.
Didn't think about that, but it makes sense. Primitive/tribal/past cultures were much more aware of and connected to natural cycles and events. I bet eventually they figured it out and started using such events as another way to honor nature and mark the passage of time.
Missed this last one, got to see one several years ago when I was working split shifts and we were on the graveyard shift. Totally awesome, it was still visible even after daylight and you could still see the shadow on the moon in the western sky
