Some clients/hobbyists like touring ladies and some don't.

Bottom line; there wouldn't be so many ladies a-hop-skipping-and-jumping around the country/globe if there weren't enough clients who LIKE touring gals to make it profitable.  

....since they tend to take bookings more seriously due to travel costs that they have to expend and (hopefully) recoup. And I have never had a visiting gal flake or pull a NCNS like I have with some local providers

As for seeing touring girls myself, I will do so occasionally, but I think touring girls are best received in markets where there isn't a huge pool of local talent and in cities where the touring girls prices will be competitive in the local market

I think where women set themselves up for disappointment is touring down south, but sticking to their $500 rates they get at home in such markets like LA or NYC. I am fully in support of women charging whatever they please, but even being the "new girl in town" doesn't warrant a 60% higher rate than the local talent, at least not to enough guys to make her trip worthwhile.

Personally when picking a companion for hire, I like what I like, whether she is local or a touring lady is secondary to me.

Oh lastly, when I see a woman on a "whirlwind tour" of a day or two each in a dozen different cities over a couple of week period, I tend NOT to see such a woman as she barely gets enough time to unpack her bags, much less get her bearings in each city she is visiting, and I get the impression, rightly or wrongly, that her performance is going to suffer. It also gives me the impression, once again rightly or wrongly, that she is going to be a bit mercenary in attitude.

I enjoy checking out who is touring in my area.  I suspect just about any guy on this site will agree, at least to some extent, that he's here because he believes in variety.  As I don't travel extensively, the only way I'd see some of the providers out there is if they come to my area.  Candidly, I'm hard-pressed to think of a downside to a provider touring.  Regardless, I certainly appreciate the idea of seeing some new talent come through the area from time to time.

When I first started touring I actually noticed an increase in my local business.  Maybe my local market felt that my appeal in larger cities showed additional value, I don't know.

Some of my regulars were disappointed when they could not have their usual appointments as I was travelling, but for the most part they were still supportive and understanding

One of my regulars goes on tour for a few months now and then.  It frees up time for me to see new girls and when they come back, the reunion sex is off the charts

If my ATF goes on tour, I wait for her to come back.  I don't usually go outside my "local circle," but there are 2 or 3 providers from the GD board who I wouldn't mind hooking up with if they came to the Twin Cities.

Personally, I would encourage all providers to tour occasionally, based on this one fact:  You can see a lot of the country that way, and psychologists have found that people who spend money on "experiences" are generally more happy than those who spend their money on "things."

There are not many choices of resident ladies here.

I like touring. I don't do it nearly as often as I would like, but when I do, I always enjoy it. I get the impression from gentlemen I meet, that it's nice to have the opportunity to meet someone 'new' in the area, versus ladies who reside there. I've never met a gentlemen who has had a negative opinion regarding a lady's decision to tour.

Plus if I have a great time, where's the repeat date, it's like..poof, she's gone. So I stick to locals, wherever I happen to be.

... some of us hobbyists like a lot of variety (those wouldn't care much for sure), others prefer to strike relationships with several ladies and rotate them as our gotos. Chances of the later happening with traveling provider are much slimmer then with somebody who is either stationary or has predictable weekly schedule, like let's say, coming to my town every Tue & Wed.  

As for very upscale clientele, I suspect they prefer to have you available to be flown over to where they want you to be and wouldn't tolerate too much of unavailability or inaccessibility.  

They know they're paying you big bucks and are not interested in you being "busy" and/or having prior schedules. Unless of course you're able to strike "special" relationship with somebody and then people become flexible no matter who they are, what they do and how viable they are financially.

It expands your universe of women you can see and i find that touring ladies are more likely to see you last minute and they tend to be punctual.

Seriously though, my ATF toured with an agency, and good thing too, else I never would have met the most beautiful woman that I've ever, uh met.

I'm not sure why a hobbyist would care if a provider toured, or not.

Its none of my business on whether provider does tour or not, and i remember reading some older post that touring gives the provider more potential clients and good for business and also changing scenario is good thing, example I like to go on business travel from time to time because staying in one place does get bored sometime.

I do see ladies that does touring and I do see ladies that doesn't and my ATF that doesn't tour before now she started on nationwide touring.  What do I think about that....well I miss her alot that's for sure since now I haven't seen her started the tour few month ago.  But, i am happy for her that she decide to do the touring (as i mention my reason above)

bottom line is client like myself we shouldn't have any thoughts or preference about whether ladies should tour or not.....if I see a provider that i like, and she is well reviewed, and she is in my hometown, then I will reach out to her....if our schedule doesn't match, then i will wait til next time she comes around in my city again

It really depends on the person but I will say touring is accepting in the hobby more then ever.  
A guy might have a preference of seeing a local lady but there are plenty that will see a touring lady too. IMO it doesn't matter.
