Why do we have an entire list of euphemisms for normal things?  You need a damn decoder ring when you get into the hobby.

Those terms have been part of the Business for a long time. Right or Wrong it would be difficult if not Impossible to change their meanings.

Looks like you have a lot of free time. Here is an idea for you. There are lot of English words people that doesn’t really say what it means. Create dictionary of these words and sell it online.  

Why/when did the world start defaulting to other words for "feline" (pussy, kitty, etc.) as euphemisms for "vagina?" I mean, I have several cats, and nothing about them reminds me of my ladybits.

to me those aren't really hobby words.  They are and have been universally used in society at large.  Hobby-related terms are usually the acronyms like DATY, etc.  And you're not going to change them because they've taken on a meaning of their own regardless of their literal meaning.

It seems to be a normal thing in other languages as well.  The French word for pussy is "chat" (pronounced "shot"), which means cat.  Not sure about other languages.

Just a topic for discussion. More leaning toward whomever coined these terms obviously didn't have a clue as to what really is done practically.

A friend of mine married a young woman who had no sexual experience prior to him. The dictionary defines 'blow job' as fellatio that may or may not include male orgasm. So it's difficult to know, when the term 'blow job' is used, whether is meant a few seconds of foreplay or the full-length, no-quit treatment that includes ejaculation.

So when we'd travel in France she did all the talking because her French was unaccented colloquial.  The only mistake I ever heard her make was when she called a restaurant to ask if I needed to wear a tie, and instead of "cravat" she said "crevette," which means shrimp.  Both the person at the restaurant and I burst out laughing simultaneously.
