I got a room in my name for another provider. I did use my CC for check in... I was not burned, she paid me... but a friend told me to never do this again 1. she could rack up charges, 2. If she gets arrested, I am liable to get felony charges for pimping and pandering. It made me think and I may not ever do this again... Also I heard if you are a booker/scheduler you are the one who is up for the pimping and pandering charge. so have you done this? bad or good experiences?
1. She calls her friend in Outer Slobovia and talks to him/her for a couple of hours and you end up with a $1,000.00++ phone bill... hey it was YOUR room. 2. She orders Room Service to include Bottle Service and Champagne.... ditto 3. She gets wasted and trashes the room.... yep... you are responsible. 4. Her 17 year old protege comes up to work with her and they get busted. Now you are going to jail for Contributing... Pimping.... whatever...
YES ... you need to talk to a LAWYER... those are just the 'Worst Case Scenarios' I thought of right offhand. MM
True story. Neighbor hired someone to do work on their property. Hired person was injured (their own fault). Guy told neighbor (before - supposedly) that he was bonded (i.e., insured). Long story short guess who was sued for medical bills. Call 1-800-Scumbag Lawyer.
If anything goes wrong in that hotel room they are going right after the cardholder (no questions). But riddle yourself this cousin. Say a "john" injured your "friend". Serious medical bills accumulate. I bet my right arm 1-800-Scumbag Lawyer will find someway to sue you if you have assets (i.e, equity in your house, paid for car, etc.) But don't worry ALL $$$ in retirement accounts R safe from judgements. Wait do PROviders retire?:
i don't charge anything for anyone else. if they can't afford to won a credit card, that's on them, and i don't need to get sucked into their economic black hole.
but esp. within the hobby, i would think you are setting yourself up for all kinds of trouble down the road.
Well I know someone who does book rooms for alot of ladies, been doing it for 5 years and not a single issue yet... Since some girls are even way more private with their info then the clients...LOL, ok I am one of them too
Just like we screen clients, that someone also screens the ladies in the same way probably even stricter. If you are helping someone who you know operates close to the same way as you, chances are it'll be issue free.
If these ladies are that private with their info. how can the person renting the room for them screen them? I would never put my name on the line for someone I did not have full information on, thus making it not so discreet since they are having to provide their real name to the person doing that for them, and are putting THEM at risk. If I rent a room in my name and get busted, it's soliciting charges. If I rent a room for someone else who gets busted, it's pandering which is a FELONY. No thanks.
There is a big dif between "bonded" and "insured".
