Can anyone tell me what is behind Bedpage.com which is constructed and looks almost exactly like Backpage now. Are all ads scams and/or fronts for LE or what? Readily accessible here in Florida (using DuckDuckGo browser for anonymity of course)....

Not very good or reliable.  I am thinking they are bogus. No phone numbers and only email addresses.

Of course, there are tons of ads that ARE just used to fill contents for the site, so the pages doesn't look empty.
When a legit girl post an ad, the nudes and graphic language are not allowed - so is easy to see which ad is legit or not. Go by the contents of the ads.
Also, posting there is free and they give you promo codes every day to get credits and post your ads.
I am doing an experiment, see how it goes. I am seeing many familiar faces from BP @ Manhattan ads.

bedpage is not working at all and currently all the ads are fake. When you create an account and you try to post an ad there's no form on payment on show (before there was a credit card option, that's gone), just some bogus "credit5oo" that makes no sense (as this is not an existing payment option). There's no posting free ads whatsoever, so providers cannot post on bedpage. Why would they spend the money on a website full of bogus ads makes little sense and makes me wonder what's the agenda behind bedpage?

I am assuming CDL is insinuating that "undercover" implies LE, but as you yourself said, you've been here since 2002. I hardly believe you are in any way affiliated with LE.

Any site popping up now will take a while to be popular.
I just think that bedpage has the looks of the original BP and is very easy to post.
They want to be a contender to replace BP and so are other ad venues out there.
They are not charging anything, just like when BP came up to replace CL.
I was also skeptical of BP when I first heard of back in 2005.
A Canadian companion (friend of mine) told me to post there, when I was touring her city. She insisted I would get quality clients from it.
I looked at the ads, thought "no way, too raunchy....but I will try". There was just about 10 ads for the area.
I posted and got an amazing response....so I continued to post my ads on BP.
Right now, they have lots of fake ads, just to fill contents....but I think it will change once girls and guys start to use it more often.

I don't think anyone should trust an alias, regardless if it sounds law enforcement-y. You can say "I'm reviewed" or "I've been here for ages", it's all meaningless without proof.

your comment speaks to my original question i.e. is it a startup site looking to gradually fill in with legitimate providers looking for real hobbyists or is it a more sinister front for LE entrapment of both. You all here are vastly more experienced in these matters and therefore your gut feelings and evolving opinions will actually have real value to the rest of us hobbyists as the situation unfolds. Someone will be savvy enough to suss out the truth and help to carve the path forward for all concerned.

NYC listings are actually ok. Not fake at all. they're the same mostly indy/agency FBSM ladies who used to advertise on backpage. I've seen a few of them in the past. glad to see they have at least somewhere to post ads.  

I could not believe the ads and nasty stuff posted. In my book anything could be posted there with no complaints from the admin. I can't imagine they are moderating the board at all.

All alias' are not created equally.  Some, like you and Jake, are more equal than others.  I thought I was initiating someone new.   I should have looked her up like GaG suggested to Sauce.  I have my good moments and some not so good, brother.

It is not BP mirror or similar, is another guy who try to do something similar since last year.
I received a SMS with the publicity of this site like last october or so. Now I tried to post my ads, no free charge. You must to charge credits by paypal. I charged 20 U$S just to post one ad and cheek how is running... Then the website start to show instability, is offline the 50% of the time. Later the webmaster provided 500 credits in every account to post ads for free like a promotion, but again started the intermittence, 1 day ok, 4 days off. Annoying.

Also, TER Staff can see who I am and, if anyone has doubts, you can use the 'contact us' t the bottom of the page and ask.
I prefer to post under an alias when the topic might turn into a mud fight....I prefer not to link my real name with that.

On Bedpage, it looks exactly like BP.
And, like BP in their very beginning back in 2005, the ads are free and there are plenty of xrated ads - which are just contents! They want to make the site look 'full' while accepting new advertisers - reason you get a yellow box with a warning that NO nudes or acronyms, services can be on your ad or it will be deleted.
Your ads do not disappear - an there is no way to pay them because they give you 50.00 credit EVERY day.
The 50.00 credit is enough to post an ad and then upgrade to sponsor and also get a sticky ad on the top of the listings. However, you will need to "bump" it to the top every hour, for 5 credits.
Your account has your ads there. Just go to edit and scroll down to bump to the top. Don't forget to replenish your credits, using the daily promo codes they give you.
I think once they have enough credible advertisers, those rounchy ads will be gone.

The webmaster is an idiot, when you get little money and run away having the possibility to make a lot of money offering a good service now that BP is offline. That's life...

I checked it out before. I had the same kind of questions. One of the answers I came up with? Because the ads are so graphic with the details and they are duplicated throughout different locations... what if is a way to get info from people who try to post there? Maybe the actual people who the laws were made for? In general it was thought that those graphic details were reserved for girls who may have been managed. Or just a way to get personal info from people who want to post. Who knows the reason. (A group of people who have it in for ladies of the night?) I may be paranoid right now but it seems fitting.

My problem is different, I'm not in USA, so I need escort guides with international area. For me BP was like CL at the beggining, realy easy. When you change the country or city just post the ads on the right city and Voila!
Now I'm looking all the sites with area for Europe but I'm not having the same results. Is like the people (providers and customers) are lost and trying to localizate a new place for the hobby.

So they removed credit card payment and And now they want you to pay through bank transfer to some dodgy account in India, then send an e-mail to the webmaster (has an indian name) with a screenshot of the bank transfer. This is hilarious!
