Here's a question I haven't seen before.

I'm adding short little video entries to my blog. Nothing risque, just a different type of entry rather than the written word. While it does put me out there a little more, showing my face and voice ( which I am capable of handling), I find it no different than girls who offer other forms of video links on their sites.

But the question is this:

Would it take away some of the mystique or does it just offer an extra level of comfort to be able to see a little more of a girls personality?

Your video reveals an absolutely adorable lady.  Pretty as you are, your personality may not come through in photos as well as it did in that very brief video.
